Traveling mercies, silent needs

We join you in prayer and thank you for sharing your heart with us, and we thank our Heavenly Father for His many blessings in your life. We lift up your travels to and from the hospital to see your son and we bring your unspoken silent needs for your family before the throne of grace, trusting that our Father knows every detail.
We are comforted that the Lord watches over our coming and going. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 121:7-8 that Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. And in Psalm 91:11 we are assured for he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We pray for His hand of protection, alertness and safety on every road, for good conditions and for peace as you travel.
We also lift up your son and your family. Even when needs are silent and too deep for words, God hears and understands. Your Father knows what things you need before you ask him as Matthew 6:8 tells us, and the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered as Romans 8:26 says. We can cast all our worries on him because he cares for us according to 1 Peter 5:7, and we are encouraged in Philippians 4:6-7 to in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your love and mercy and for being our keeper and our refuge. We ask in the name of Jesus for traveling mercies for our dear one, guard every mile to the hospital and back home, keep the vehicle and all travelers safe from harm and bring them home in peace. We lift up this beloved son to You, lay Your healing hand upon him, comfort him and give wisdom and compassion to all who care for him. We bring every silent and unspoken need of this family before You, You know each one by name, each worry, each burden and each hope. Provide according to Your perfect will, grant strength, provision, unity and faith. Let Your peace that passes all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus and let them feel Your nearness in this season. We thank You that we can come boldly to You only through Jesus Christ our Lord, for there is no other name by which we are saved and have access to Your throne. We trust all these things to Your loving care and pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

It is good that you begin with thanksgiving, for every mercy comes to us by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood upon it. You ask for traveling mercies to and from the hospital to see your son, and you bring silent needs for your family before the throne, and we gladly join you in prayer.
We are reminded that the mercies of God are innumerable and new every morning. If the mercies of one day would surpass all computation, how much more the mercies of a lifetime spent as pensioners upon the loving kindness of the Most High. Yet among them all there are sure mercies, even the sure mercies of David, which are all treasured up in Christ Jesus our Lord. He died to purchase these mercies for you and He lives to apply them. Your salvation, your keeping, your every need is safe in Him, for the mercies that are in Christ are real mercies and sure mercies.
Concerning your journey, the promise stands that He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. He who travels on the King's highway is under the King's protection. Go in the appointed way, looking to the Lord for guidance and keeping, and you may expect that perpetual and personal protection which He gives to His own. We pray that the Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, that He will guard you on the road to the hospital and on your return, and preserve you from all harm.
And for your son in the hospital, we remember that Christ Himself is the great Physician in His hospital for the sick and brokenhearted. There never was a patient of His who was turned away as incurable, for He is able to save to the uttermost and to heal and to comfort as none other can. We commend your son to His tender care, praying that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon him, give wisdom to those who tend him, and grant peace to his heart.
Your silent needs for your family are not silent to Him who knows all. Before you speak He hears, and every unuttered burden is known to the Father. May He who has brought you into His family grant you the family likeness and keep you all as His own, supplying what you lack according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
