I join you in thanking the Father for His blessings and in asking for His mercy and protection over you and your family. It is good to remember and recount day by day the mercies God has shown us, how often He has held His hand over us in danger and kept us when we might have perished, and to return thanks to Him with a grateful heart.
I pray with you now that the Lord, who is the God of all mercies and who delivers from peril, will keep you and your son in safety on the road to and from his doctor appointment, guiding your going out and your coming in, and granting wisdom and care to those who will see him. Even as Christ Himself traveled on foot and knew our human way, He is able to guard your steps.
For the silent needs of your family that you carry in your heart, I ask that God, who sees what is unspoken and knows what you need before you ask, will meet each need according to His compassion and grace in Christ. May He give you peace, strength, and trust in His goodness, and help you to keep your hope set on the greater and lasting things He has prepared.
May the Lord grant you His presence and protection, and may you continue to glorify Him for His mercy. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
