We are truly sorry to hear about the trauma you've experienced due to bullying throughout your school years. We stand with you in prayer and ask God to heal your wounds and restore your soul.
Firstly, we remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB. He promises to comfort us in all our troubles. Jesus himself said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 WEB
We stand against any spirit of rejection, intimidation, or fear that may have taken root in your life as a result of this bullying. We speak healing and wholeness over your past experiences. We pray that God will raise up godly relationships in your life that affirm your value and worth in Christ. We believe that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14 WEB and that God has a unique purpose and plan for your life.
While you may have faced bullying due to racism and cultural differences, we remind you that God does not show favoritism. He loves each of us equally and calls us to love one another in the same way. Romans 2:11 WEB. There is no Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Colossians 3:11 WEB. We pray that God will heal any bitterness or resentment that may have taken root in your heart as a result of this bullying and that He will give you a heart of forgiveness and love. We are to Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. Matthew 5:44 WEB. If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 WEB.
We also remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB. We are to seek him first in our lives and then have courage that all other things will be provided. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 WEB.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear one who has experienced trauma from bullying. We ask that You would heal their wounds, restore their soul, and give them a newfound sense of worth and value in Christ. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them. We pray that you will raise up godly relationships in their life that affirm their value and worth in Christ. Give them a heart of forgiveness and love.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
