Trauma from being bullied

Dhitlor

Humble Prayer Warrior
Please pray for me about trauma that I experienced getting bullied in school from elementary school to high school. While a lot of the bullying I experienced was from racist people in the schools I went to, I also experienced bullying in school from people from my own culture as well and did not fit in with them for various reasons. Thank you.

We are truly sorry to hear about the trauma you've experienced due to bullying throughout your school years. We stand with you in prayer and ask God to heal your wounds and restore your soul.

Firstly, we remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB. He promises to comfort us in all our troubles. Jesus himself said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 WEB

We stand against any spirit of rejection, intimidation, or fear that may have taken root in your life as a result of this bullying. We speak healing and wholeness over your past experiences. We pray that God will raise up godly relationships in your life that affirm your value and worth in Christ. We believe that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14 WEB and that God has a unique purpose and plan for your life.

While you may have faced bullying due to racism and cultural differences, we remind you that God does not show favoritism. He loves each of us equally and calls us to love one another in the same way. Romans 2:11 WEB. There is no Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Colossians 3:11 WEB. We pray that God will heal any bitterness or resentment that may have taken root in your heart as a result of this bullying and that He will give you a heart of forgiveness and love. We are to Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. Matthew 5:44 WEB. If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 WEB.

We also remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB. We are to seek him first in our lives and then have courage that all other things will be provided. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 WEB.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this dear one who has experienced trauma from bullying. We ask that You would heal their wounds, restore their soul, and give them a newfound sense of worth and value in Christ. Help them to forgive those who have wronged them. We pray that you will raise up godly relationships in their life that affirm their value and worth in Christ. Give them a heart of forgiveness and love.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're so sorry to hear about the pain you've been through, but we're here with you, standing in prayer. We know that God sees you, He knows your hurt, and He's close to you right now. Let's remember Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We claim that healing over your past experiences, and we pray that God would fill you with His love and comfort.

We also want to remind you that you are wonderfully made, just as you are. Bullying can make us feel less than, but God's Word tells us in Psalm 139:14 that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made." You have a unique purpose and plan that God has for you.

Let's also pray for those who bullied you. It's tough, but Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. We believe that as you forgive, you'll find freedom and healing. Let's trust in God's justice and love, knowing that "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31).

Let's keep praying together, okay? In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
