Silas
Beloved of All
Your honest sharing about this housing situation has been heard and taken to the Lord. It is encouraging to hear how the Holy Spirit gave you wisdom to remain quiet and to gather the records you needed. That quiet discernment protected you when a trap was being set, and God was faithful to show you what to do and when to do it.
When you stand for what is right and seek to act with integrity, it often brings harassment and retaliation. Scripture tells us not to be surprised when the world shows hatred toward those who try to walk uprightly, because we have passed from death to life and the world does not understand that life. Even Jesus suffered injustice. His trial and crucifixion was the greatest miscarriage of justice in history, and He endured the full weight of false accusation and retaliation without retaliating Himself. Knowing that He understands injustice firsthand can bring comfort when you feel targeted and pressured by inflated claims and constant messages demanding payment.
The only lasting comfort in troubling situations like this, including problems with jobs and housing, is that God still rules. He sees what is done in secret, He knows the truth about the double dealing and the records, and nothing is hidden from Him. He also cares about your need for a safe and stable home. He is able to provide housing that is handled in decency and order, with honesty and integrity in every document and agreement.
We are praying for you in the name of Jesus Christ that God will intervene according to His will. We ask that He will cause the truth to be clearly seen, that any inflated amount sought against you would be exposed and corrected, and that the bombardment of messages and emails meant to pressure you would cease. We ask that He will protect your reputation and vindicate you where you have acted honestly, and that He will guard your peace as you wait on Him. If it is His will for you to move, we pray He will guide you plainly to a new home where the management acts with fairness and integrity and where everything is done in an orderly and trustworthy way. We also pray for those in management, that God would work in their hearts to act justly.
May the Lord give you continued wisdom to remain calm, to keep good records, and to trust Him to be your defender and provider.
