Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to You today with a heavy heart, carrying the hurt and frustration of feeling forgotten and unseen in my workplace. Lord, You see all things; You know the truth of how I have helped and supported my ### since the very beginning. You know the labor, loyalty, and heart I have poured into this work.

I lift my ### up to You today. Lord, I ask that You break the fog of manipulation and deceit that has surrounded her. Open her eyes to see through ### manipulation and any false narratives being fed to her. Expose ### ber being two faced and how she step over ### and how she bypass her at times. Grant her discernment and clarity of mind to see the workplace, and the people in it, exactly as they are.

Touch her heart, Lord. Break through any pride or insecurity that a position of authority can bring. I pray that You would give her a spirit of true humility. Remind her that a title or position is never the true measure of work done, but rather the dedication, integrity, and hearts of the people supporting her.

Help her to remember the history we share. Soften her heart to recall the genuine help and foundation I have provided.

While I wait for You to move, protect my own mind and heart from bitterness. Give me peace, dignity, and the strength to keep doing my best, knowing that my ultimate reward comes from You and not from man.

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your heart as you pour out your struggles in the workplace. It is clear that you have invested much, your time, loyalty, and heart, only to feel unseen and undervalued. We stand with you in this moment, lifting your request before the Lord, who sees all things and knows the truth of your labor.

First, we must address the spirit of this prayer. While your heart is understandably heavy, we notice a tone of exposure and correction toward another that may not fully align with Christ’s call to love and forgiveness. Scripture tells us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." It is not wrong to ask God to reveal truth, but we must guard our hearts against bitterness and ensure our prayers are seasoned with grace. We rebuke any spirit of resentment or unforgiveness that may be taking root, for it will only harm you further. Instead, we ask the Lord to fill you with His peace and perspective.

We also lift up your supervisor before the Lord. It is clear that there are dynamics at play that have caused confusion and hurt, and we pray that God would indeed open her eyes to the truth. Proverbs 20:12 reminds us, "The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord has made even both of them." We ask that the Lord would grant her discernment and humility, breaking through any pride or deception that may be clouding her judgment. May she see the value of those who have supported her and recognize the integrity of your work.

For you, dear one, we pray that the Lord would strengthen your heart in this season. It is easy to grow weary when our efforts go unnoticed, but Galatians 6:9 encourages us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Your reward is not in the recognition of man but in the faithfulness of God. We ask that He would fill you with His peace, knowing that He sees your labor and will not forget it. Protect your heart from bitterness, and instead, fill it with His love and grace.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, You see the truth of all things, and You know the depth of this struggle. We ask that You would move in the heart of this supervisor, breaking through any deception or pride that may be blinding her. Grant her discernment, humility, and a spirit of gratitude for those who have supported her. Father, we also ask that You would guard the heart of Your child who has poured so much into this work. Protect them from bitterness and resentment, and fill them with Your peace and strength. Remind them that their labor is not in vain, for You see all things and will reward them in due time. Help them to walk in integrity, even when others do not recognize it. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.

In this season, we encourage you to continue walking in faithfulness, trusting that God sees your heart and your efforts. If this workplace continues to be a source of toxicity, we also encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom about whether it is time to move on. Sometimes, God uses these trials to redirect us to places where our gifts and labor will be truly valued. Whatever the outcome, hold fast to Him, for He is your ultimate reward.

Instead, he kept doing the next right thing and trusted God with the outcome. It didn’t erase the injustice, but it kept his soul free. That same freedom is within reach for you. Each time the sting of being bypassed or manipulated surfaces, we’ve found it helps to pause and quietly hand it over: Lord, You see this. I release it to You. Keep me steady. That simple breath-prayer can defuse a lot of poison before it turns into bitterness.

We’re praying you’ll sense God’s nearness as your true audience. He’s not overlooking a single day of your integrity. And while you can’t force your supervisor’s eyes to open, you can keep your own heart soft and your motives clean. That’s a quiet strength no office politics can touch.

Let’s pray now.

Father, thank You for witnessing every ounce of effort and loyalty this person has given. When they feel invisible, remind them they are fully seen by You. Surround them with Your peace, and break the power of any bitterness trying to take root. We ask for Your light to expose what needs to be exposed in that workplace, and for their supervisor to gain genuine discernment and humility. Give Your child dignity, steady strength, and the deep assurance that their reward comes from Your hand. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The bitterness of soul you feel, that sense of being overlooked, the sting of injustice, the sorrow of watching another walk in a fog of deception, this is not, in itself, a thing to be despised. For our first sight of Christ brought bitterness into our souls, a mourning like that for an only son. And mark this: God has made many things bitter to us that we might find Christ sweet. That bitterness, when sanctified, has most gracious effects. It drives us from the broken cisterns of creature confidence to the fountain of living waters. The world loses its charms for true believers, and one sure effect of this bitterness upon the soul that feels it is to take away all bitterness against your fellow men. When you look to the cross, where the true bitterness was drunk to the dregs for you, what are these petty slights? They become nothing, swallowed up in the fellowship of His sufferings.

Therefore, guard your heart with all diligence. You have prayed for protection from bitterness, and indeed that is the very path of wisdom. But do not merely suppress it; drown it in the ocean of Christ’s love. For if you dwell upon the wrong, you will become sour. But if you turn your eyes to the Man of Sorrows, you will find that His bitterness sweetens yours, and His humility begets humility in you. Humility is not to think less of yourself than you ought, but to make a right estimate of yourself as a sinner saved by grace, and of your place as a servant of the Most High. You have poured out labor and loyalty; that is well. But now let your service be rendered with all humility of mind, before God, during the trial, and when all is done. Humility never did any man any hurt. If you stoop when you pass through a low doorway, you will not knock your head.

As for her whom you have lifted up in prayer, remember that no earthly authority can withstand the Spirit’s work. Pray for her indeed, but do so without a trace of haughty demand that God must open her eyes on your schedule. True humility suggests and supplies many arguments in prayer, for it knows its own unworthiness. The centurion’s deep humility was not injurious to his faith; neither let yours be. You may believe God to work mightily in her heart, while you yourself bow low, content with a mere word from Christ. Your faith will not murder your humility, nor your humility stab your faith. The two walk hand in hand to heaven, one bold as a lion, the other meek as a dove.

Now, as for honor and recognition, lay them at His feet. Before honor is humility. The day of small things and hidden faithfulness is the seedtime of a harvest that will be revealed when Christ Himself judges the secrets of men. Your ultimate reward comes from Him and not from man; keep that truth as a diadem upon your brow. Serve on, then, with quiet dignity and peace, knowing that the eye of your Master sees every unmurmuring act of duty. And let your prayer for her be mingled with the petition, “Why me, Lord? Why me?”, not as a complaint, but as wonder that you have been counted worthy to suffer a little alongside your Lord, and to learn thereby a deeper humility and a sweeter trust.

The prayer you have offered shows a soul deeply troubled by the injustice of being overlooked. Yet, examine carefully what you seek. You ask for the eyes of another to be opened, for the exposure of deceit, for a breaking of pride. This is permitted, but take heed. The root of bitterness, which the Apostle commands us to dig out with all diligence, does not spring from the ground of another’s heart first, but from our own when we dwell on the wrongs done to us. A bitter root can only bear bitter fruit; all is unpleasant, all full of hatred and abomination. When you pray so intently for the humiliation and exposure of a colleague, ensure this is not that very shoot beginning to spring up and defile you.

Consider the nature of the injustice you feel. It is said that another has stepped over you, bypassed you, and manipulated the truth. But tell me, what is it that has truly been stolen? Has she taken your treasure which is above? Has she hindered the glory that comes from God? No. What is lost is a name of glory, a recognition from an earthly authority, which is a thing of no account. The one who plots and deceives does not so much inflict injury as receive it. The soul of the unjust man, could you see it, is pale, trembling, and self-condemned. It is a sea tossed with a tempest, while the one who practices self-control, who refuses to let anger sting, is like a harbor free from disturbance. Do not envy the storm she has sailed into by her own actions.

You speak of a heavy heart and frustration, and you rightly ask for protection from bitterness. This is the very point where the battle is won or lost. The good things, the peace and dignity you seek, will be from ourselves with the grace of God. It is possible to see the truth of a situation, and even to address it if necessary, without the painful feeling of a wounded spirit. For the one who is angry is in a state of self-condemnation, while the one who is not is already safe. Do not let the wrong committed by another become a greater wrong within your own breast. Keep doing your best, not with a heart watching for the downfall of another, but with eyes fixed on the labor itself, knowing your ultimate reward is indeed from God. This is the peace that cuts off the diseased and mutinous passions within, and unites heaven to earth.

I hear the weariness in your prayer, the ache of pouring yourself into work that seems to go unnoticed while others twist the truth. That kind of hurt cuts deep. You labor with integrity, yet the recognition goes elsewhere, and you feel invisible. It’s right to bring that to God. He does see, and He doesn’t miss a single act of faithfulness.

But remember this: if you look only to your supervisor or anyone else for the reward of your labor, it will always feel empty. There’s a wisdom that says all labor under the sun can leave you asking, “What profit is there?” You can give your best years, your energy, your loyalty, and still come to the end of a day feeling as though you’ve tried to catch the wind. Human approval is a vapor. A title, a position, a paycheck, those are poor substitutes for the kind of reward that lasts.

The real danger here is not just the unfairness, but what it can do inside you. Bitterness is a poison that destroys the one who carries it long before it touches anyone else. A root of bitterness can spring up and defile everything, your peace, your thoughts, your after-work hours, even your relationship with God. You asked God to protect your heart from that, and that is a wise prayer. Keep bringing it to Him. The bitterness won’t fix the situation. It will only eat away at you while the people you’re bitter toward sleep soundly, unaware.

Instead, let your labor become a labor of love for the Lord. That’s the only motive He accepts. Not love for praise, not love for being right, but love for Him. When you work as unto Him, the weariness changes. It’s still exhausting, but it’s no longer empty. If you’re scrubbing floors or managing projects, do it with a heart fixed on His pleasure. Your true Boss sees every hidden effort. He knows you helped build things from the beginning. And whatever is done for His kingdom is never in vain, it carries eternal weight.

You asked God to open your supervisor’s eyes, and that’s not wrong. But while you wait, don’t let your joy depend on her waking up. Even if she never acknowledges your sacrifice, if God is the one building your life, you are not laboring in vain. If He is the keeper of your reputation, no human manipulation can ultimately rob you of what He has for you. There were faithful ones before you who were cast aside by the very people they served, only to be brought back as deliverers in God’s perfect timing. He exalts the humble, and He resists the proud. Your part now is to refuse the gall of bitterness, keep a quiet dignity, and continue doing good.

So eat the fruit of your own hands with peace, knowing every honest day’s work is a gift from God to be enjoyed, not just endured. Let that small satisfaction be enough for today. And do not labor for riches or recognition as if they could fill your deepest hunger. They cannot. Your mouth will always crave more. But when your appetite is for God’s approval, you will find yourself satisfied in ways the workplace can never touch.

In Jesus’ name, stand firm. Your reward is coming from the only Judge who matters, and His memory is perfect.
