Touch the heart and mind of ### 🙏🙏🙏

The heaviness you carry is not hidden from the God who sees into every workplace and every heart. You have poured out labor and loyalty, and to feel overlooked stings deeply. Yet take care that this prayer, though offered in Jesus’ name, does not itself become a snare. You ask the Father to break the fog of manipulation and deceit around your department head, to expose the two-faced colleague, to make her see the truth. But the apostle warns that there is a deceitfulness of sin which hardens the heart, and it can harden not only the one who deceives, but the one who broods on the deception. Beware lest your own spirit be hardened by watching for another’s exposure.

It is true that envy, murder, debate, deceit, these things spring from the same poisoned root, and you have tasted their fruit. But consider: the folly of those who walk in error will be manifest in due season, as theirs also was. God needs no assistant to drag hidden things into the light. When you ask Him to open her eyes to see the workplace exactly as it is, remember that you are asking for a gift you yourself require. A contrite and humbled heart, sober, self-possessed, filled with compunction, that is what God gives to those who seek Him. The demand to have another humbled, even under the cover of prayer, does not proceed from the same spirit.

You want her to remember the history you share, to recall the foundation you provided. That is a natural cry. But what is this but seeking your reward from man? Sow as unto the Lord, not as unto a supervisor whose memory is clouded. When you do alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. In the same way, when you give your strength to a department, give it as to Christ. Then the forgetting of men cannot rob you of your recompense.

Protect your heart from bitterness, yes. That is the battle. The warfare is not against flesh and blood, not against your department head or your scheming colleague, but against principalities and powers. They seek to plant the seed of resentment where loyalty was sown. Resist this with both hands. Keep doing excellent work, not as a strategy to finally be seen, but as an offering to God who sees already. Your dignity lies not in their recognition, but in this: you belong to the Bridegroom who does not forget, and whose reward is not meager like a wage deducted in petty spite, but full and overflowing. Leave the lifting of the fog to Him. Leave the softening of her heart to Him. Your own part is to stand firm, to refuse the deceit of despair that whispers you have no hope, and to wait with a soul that is at rest.

The cry of your heart is known to God, and you have done the right thing by pouring out this agony before Him rather than letting it fester in silence. There was a woman in Scripture, Hannah, who was in bitterness of soul and wept sorely before the Lord. Her lips moved, but no words came out; the pain was so deep it was beyond speech. The priest at the temple misunderstood her completely and accused her of being drunk. People often misread the quiet suffering of a wounded spirit. But God saw her clearly, and He sees you. He catches every tear, and He understands the labors, the loyalty, and the history that others have forgotten. You are not unseen by Heaven.

While you wait for God to move on your department head’s heart, a fierce battle is being waged over your own. The greatest danger in this season is not her blindness, but the root of bitterness trying to sink deep into your soul. The Bible warns us to look diligently, lest any root of bitterness spring up and cause trouble, and by it many be defiled. What happened to Esau serves as a sobering picture. He wept over what he lost, and people often assume those were tears of repentance, but they were not. They were tears of anger, tears of bitter hatred against his brother. A root of bitterness had wrapped around his heart, and he found no place of true change. That bitterness did not just hurt him; it defiled his entire lineage. Bitterness is a poison that never stays contained.

The truth is, bitterness is a choice we make in response to our circumstances. Two people can walk through the exact same trial, and one becomes better while the other becomes bitter. The difference lies entirely in the direction of your focus. You cannot afford the luxury of that gall and wormwood, that extreme bitterness that chips away at your spirit like biting down on gravel. It will make your life tight, tense, and toxic. It will fence you in and make your paths crooked until you feel there is no escape. You must actively fight against it, bringing every rehearsed hurt into submission to the truth that your ultimate reward comes from the Lord, not from the recognition of this person.

Let your thoughts shift, just as Jeremiah did in the middle of his lament. He was surrounded by gall and travail, drunk with wormwood, yet he called to mind a truth that gave him hope: “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed.” You are still standing. God’s hand is upon you. Therefore, walk softly in dignity and follow after peace with all people. Do your work heartily, as unto the Lord, not fixing your gaze on the unfairness of the situation as if you were in a catatonic stare. God often speaks the loudest through our steadfast integrity while we are in the heat of the battle. Leave the uncovering of deception to Him; He knows how to expose what is hidden. Your responsibility is to guard your heart, refusing to let a bitter root take hold, so that the peace of Christ rules your inner man while you wait for His justice.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, allowing us to stand with you before our Heavenly Father on this matter. It has been our privilege to lift up your workplace situation, your department head, and your own spirit as we sought God’s intervention together.

We continue to pray that the Lord would soften and open the heart and mind of your department head, breaking through any fog of manipulation or deceit that may cloud her perception. May He grant her discernment and clarity, revealing the truth of your dedication, loyalty, and integrity in ways that cannot be ignored. We ask that God would replace any pride or insecurity with humility, reminding her that true leadership is measured by the hearts of those who serve alongside her.

As you wait on the Lord, we pray that He would guard your heart from bitterness, filling you instead with His peace, strength, and dignity. May you find comfort in knowing that your labor is not in vain, and that your ultimate reward comes from Him alone.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If not, please know that we are still here to stand with you in prayer—simply post this request again, and we will continue to intercede on your behalf.

May God bless you abundantly as you seek Him, trusting in His perfect timing and justice. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
