Touch the heart and mind of ### 🙏🙏🙏💝

Servant of All
Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to You today with a heavy heart, carrying the hurt and frustration of feeling forgotten and unseen in my workplace. Lord, You see all things; You know the truth of how I have helped and supported my department head since the very beginning. You know the labor, loyalty, and heart I have poured into this work.

I lift my department head up to You today. Lord, I ask that You break the fog of manipulation and deceit that has surrounded her. Open her eyes to see through ### manipulation and any false narratives being fed to her. Expose ### how she step over ### and how she bypass her at times. Grant ### her discernment and clarity of mind to see the workplace, and the people in it, exactly as they are.

Touch her heart, Lord. Break through any pride or insecurity that a position of authority can bring. I pray that You would give her a spirit of true humility. Remind her that a title or position is never the true measure of work done, but rather the dedication, integrity, and hearts of the people supporting her.

Help her to remember the history we share. Soften her heart to recall the genuine help and foundation I have provided.

While I wait for You to move, protect my own mind and heart from bitterness. Give me peace, dignity, and the strength to keep doing my best, knowing that my ultimate reward comes from You and not from man.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear the deep ache in your heart as you pour out your frustration and sense of being overlooked in your workplace. It is painful to feel unseen when you have given so much of yourself, your labor, loyalty, and dedication, only to be bypassed or misunderstood. We stand with you before the Lord, who sees all things and knows the truth of your efforts. The scriptures remind us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Your ultimate reward comes from Him, not from the recognition of others, and that is where your hope must rest.

We lift up your department head to the Lord, asking Him to intervene in her heart and mind. The pride or insecurity that can come with authority can blind even the most well-intentioned leaders, and we pray that God would break through any hardness in her heart. Proverbs 16:18 warns, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." We ask the Lord to humble her and grant her discernment to see the truth of the situation, including the manipulation or deceit that may be clouding her judgment. May she remember the foundation you have laid and the genuine support you have provided, as Philippians 2:3-4 instructs, "Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others."

We also pray for your own heart as you wait for God to move. It is easy to grow bitter when we feel undervalued, but we are reminded in Hebrews 12:15 to "look carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it." Guard your heart, dear one, and trust that God sees your faithfulness. Continue to do your work with excellence, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58). May He fill you with peace and dignity as you wait on Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, You see the truth of all things, and You know the dedication and loyalty that has been poured into this workplace. We ask You to touch the heart and mind of this department head. Break through any pride, insecurity, or deception that may be clouding her judgment. Grant her discernment to see the truth and humility to recognize the contributions of others. Soften her heart, Lord, and remind her of the history shared and the foundation that has been laid.

Father, we also pray for protection over this dear one’s heart. Guard them from bitterness and fill them with Your peace. Help them to continue working with excellence, knowing that their reward comes from You alone. Strengthen them in this season of waiting, and let them walk in dignity and grace. May Your will be done in this workplace, and may Your name be glorified in all things.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to change hearts and minds. Amen.

We hear the weariness in your words, the ache of feeling unseen after you’ve given so much. That kind of hurt doesn’t evaporate just because you know it’s wrong to dwell on it. It settles in. You’ve already named the danger you’re watching for: bitterness. That’s wise. The real fight isn’t controlling what your department head thinks; it’s guarding your own heart while you wait.

Bitterness often starts as a reasonable reaction to a real wrong, but it doesn’t stay reasonable. The source pack material on bitterness mentions how it “holds on to an offense” and in the end does more harm to the one carrying it than to the one who caused it. The best example from Scripture is Joseph, he had every reason to stew. Sold by his brothers, forgotten in prison, and still later he chose mercy over revenge. He didn’t pretend the harm never happened, but he released the right to get even. That release is a powerful, freeing thing, and it’s something you can practice right now, in the middle of this frustration.

The most practical step we can offer is this: the next time you feel that sting of being overlooked or stepped over, pause and whisper a short release to God. Something like, “I give this to You. I don’t want to carry the resentment.” The point isn’t to feel it perfectly, but to keep turning your heart back toward open hands. You’re already doing the right things, asking God to act, while also leaning on Him for your own peace.

Let’s pray that way now.

Father, thank You that You see every faithful thing has done, even when people don’t. Protect their heart from bitterness. Replace the ache of being unseen with a steady confidence that their worth is secure in You. Grant their department head true clarity and a softened heart, and give the peace and dignity to keep working with integrity while You move. In Jesus’ name, amen.

When your labor goes unregarded and another steps into the place you have prepared, the smart of it is very keen. Yet I would have you observe that this bitterness, permitted of God, has a sanctifying power. It weans you from the creature and makes the wounded spirit find its only sweet in Christ. Do not therefore despise this painful thing, but ask what your Leader would teach you by it. Did He not suffer betrayal from one who broke bread with Him? Your Lord knows the full force of ingratitude and the lifted heel. Look to Him, and you will find that the bitterness which springs from man's neglect loosens the hold of this world upon your affections, and so clears your vision to see Jesus more clearly.

In this dark corridor, keep your eye upon your Leader. He goes before you, the Standard-Bearer who has faced every contradiction of sinners. You are not asked to understand the twisting ways of those set over you; you are called to follow the Lamb wherever He leads. Let no root of resentment spring up in your own heart, for a disciple perfected shall be as his Master, and His heart harboured no revenge. Instead, cry unto the Lord for the wholeness of your own soul, and watch diligently against the secret sins that bitterness breeds. The conquest of sin is not your own work, but God's; yet must you strive in prayer and holy resolve.

Be loyal to your Master in the smallest duties. It is a light thing to be esteemed of men; the Lord's "well done" is the true wages. While you wait for Him to make the crooked things straight, let your daily walk be in perpetual fellowship with Christ. He is with you always, and in the darkest hour His presence is often nearest. Labor on, with your eye single to His approval, and in due season He will vindicate the cause of the upright.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray for the eyes of your department head to be opened, and this is not a wicked desire, but see that your own eyes remain open to the snare that waits for the wounded heart. The apostle warns us to look diligently, to search and thoroughly ascertain, "lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and by it many be defiled." That root of bitterness, once it takes hold, bears nothing sweet; all its fruit is hatred and abomination. You ask for protection from bitterness while you wait, but this protection is not a passive thing. It requires you to take the field of your soul and plant good seed where the thorns have been uprooted.

For the blessed Paul, in his deep care, does not merely say to put away bitterness, wrath, clamor, and malice, but immediately adds, "Be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another." He who is not bitter is not therefore kind; a distinct effort is needed. If the ground of your heart lies idle, the weeds will return. Preoccupy that soil now with active forgiveness and tender-heartedness, especially toward this woman whose praise has been withheld. The forgiveness you plant in your own soul repays a spiritual recompense far greater than any earthly recognition. It is a work of virtue, and virtue makes the soul like gold refined in the fire, which the flies of passion dare not approach.

You speak of her pride and the fog of manipulation. True authority does not come from a title, but from within. The ruler is not he who is so called by men, but he who is truly so in mastery over his own spirit. If she is captive to insecurity and deceit, do not let her captivity become your own by allowing your peace to depend on her seeing the truth. The stain of sin, when exposed, brings a disgrace far heavier than any purple robe bestows honor. That is a burden for her to bear if she refuses correction; it need not be yours. Your own history of loyal help is seen by God, and if you work for Him, no ingratitude from man can rob you of dignity.

Therefore, while you wait for God to touch her heart, build within yourself the inner light of the Spirit. Drive away all resentment, and fill your heart with kindness and peace. Then the way of virtue will be easy and simple. Your ultimate reward comes from no earthly hand, and in that certainty you have a fortress that no power or neglect can shake.

Your prayer reveals a heart that has labored faithfully and now feels overlooked and wounded. That kind of hurt runs deep, and it is right to bring it before the Lord who sees all things. He knows the integrity of your work and the support you have given. Nothing escapes His notice.

Yet in the middle of that pain, there is a real danger that you yourself named: bitterness. Scripture warns us to watch diligently so that no root of bitterness springs up, because once it takes hold it defiles not only you but many others. Bitterness never fixes a situation; it only poisons the one who carries it. We see this in Esau, whose tears were not tears of repentance but of anger and resentment. He harbored that gall, and it consumed him and his descendants for generations. Bitterness is a choice we make in response to circumstances. Other people can walk through similar trials and become better, not bitter. The difference lies in what we do with the ache.

When the ache feels like being encircled by gall and wormwood, with no way out, the right response is to pour out your soul to God as Hannah did. In the bitterness of her soul, she could not even speak, but she wept and sobbed before the Lord. She brought her grief to the only One who could truly see and act. She did not let the misunderstanding of a priest push her into resentment; she kept her heart open before God. That is where hope begins to dawn, when we recall that it is the Lord's mercies we are not consumed. He has not forgotten you.

You prayed for your department head’s eyes to be opened, and that is a request for discernment on her behalf. But remember that discernment for her is the Lord’s work, not yours to force. Do not let the desire for vindication become a root of bitterness within you. Simon the sorcerer was told he was in the gall of bitterness and the bond of iniquity because he resented losing the spotlight. He wanted the power, and bitterness crept in. The only antidote was repentance and prayer. Guard your heart there. If you find anger and a desire to be recognized growing, lay it before the Lord quickly, because it can bind you.

Promotion and honor do not ultimately come from a department head or a title. Before honor is humility. God exalts the humble and abases the proud. Saul started out as a truly humble man who could not imagine why he would be chosen, but as his position grew, humility withered and pride took over, leading to his downfall. Do not let the lack of recognition push you into that trap. In God’s economy, your worth is not measured by a job title or being seen by a superior. Your reward is from Him. Keep doing your work with integrity, not as unto people but as unto Christ.

So while you wait for God to move, follow after peace with all people. Do not allow bitterness to fill your heart. Keep bringing the hurt to Him, knowing He hears. He may use this season to teach you a deeper trust, a humility that does not demand to be celebrated. And in His time, He is able to bring clarity and justice, often in ways you could not orchestrate. Let your prayer remain: “Lord, protect my heart from bitterness. You see. You reward. I trust You.”
