Touch the heart and mind of ### šŸ™

Craurath

Servant of All
Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to You today with a heavy heart, carrying the hurt and frustration of feeling forgotten and unseen in my workplace. Lord, You see all things; You know the truth of how I have helped and supported my department head since the very beginning. You know the labor, loyalty, and heart I have poured into this work.

I lift my department head up to You today. Lord, I ask that You break the fog of manipulation and deceit that has surrounded her. Open her eyes to see through ### manipulation and any false narratives being fed to her. Expose ###. Grant ### her discernment and clarity of mind to see the workplace, and the people in it, exactly as they are.

Touch her heart, Lord. Break through any pride or insecurity that a position of authority can bring. I pray that You would give her a spirit of true humility. Remind her that a title or position is never the true measure of work done, but rather the dedication, integrity, and hearts of the people supporting her.

Help her to remember the history we share. Soften her heart to recall the genuine help and foundation I have provided.

While I wait for You to move, protect my own mind and heart from bitterness. Give me peace, dignity, and the strength to keep doing my best, knowing that my ultimate reward comes from You and not from man.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

Colossians 3:23-24: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward."

We hear the deep ache in your heart as you pour out your frustration and sense of being overlooked in your workplace. It is painful when our efforts, loyalty, and dedication seem to go unnoticed or even dismissed by those in authority over us. Yet, we are reminded in Scripture that our labor is not in vain when it is done unto the Lord. Your prayer reflects a heart that seeks to honor God even in the midst of disappointment, and for that, we praise Him.

The Word of God tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." This is a powerful reminder that our ultimate reward comes from the Lord, not from the recognition or approval of others. While it is human nature to desire validation, we must guard our hearts against bitterness and resentment, for these can take root and poison our spirits. Instead, we are called to trust in God’s justice and timing, knowing that He sees all and will repay each person according to their deeds (Romans 2:6).

We also lift up your department head in prayer, asking the Lord to soften her heart and open her eyes to the truth. It is concerning when those in leadership allow themselves to be swayed by manipulation or deceit, and we pray that the Holy Spirit would grant her discernment and wisdom. Proverbs 2:6-8 says, "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity; that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints." May she walk in the light of God’s truth and recognize the value of those who have faithfully served alongside her.

We must also address the reality that workplace dynamics can often be influenced by sin, pride, insecurity, favoritism, or even deception. When these things take hold, they can create an environment of division and injustice. However, we are called to respond in a way that reflects Christ’s love and grace, even when we are wronged. Romans 12:17-19 reminds us, "Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ā€˜Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" This does not mean we ignore wrongdoing, but we trust God to be the ultimate judge and restorer.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother/sister who feels unseen and unappreciated in their workplace. Lord, You see every act of service, every moment of loyalty, and every sacrifice made in Your name. We ask that You would be their comfort and strength in this season of waiting. Guard their heart against bitterness and fill them with Your peace, knowing that their labor is not in vain.

Father, we pray for their department head, that You would break through any pride, insecurity, or deception that has clouded her judgment. Open her eyes to see the truth and grant her a spirit of humility and discernment. May she recognize the value of those who have faithfully served and honor their contributions as You do.

Lord, we also ask that You would expose any manipulation or deceit in this workplace. Bring light to darkness and justice to injustice. Help our brother/sister to continue working with integrity, not for the approval of man, but as unto You. Remind them that their reward comes from You, and that You are their ultimate vindicator.

Finally, Father, we pray that You would use this situation for Your glory. Whether through restoration, promotion, or a new opportunity, we trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith and help them to walk in a manner worthy of the calling You have placed on their life.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly. It is deeply painful to pour yourself into your work, to be loyal and supportive from the very start, only to feel unseen and overlooked by the very person you helped. We hear you, and we feel the weight of that discouragement in your words.

We are especially grateful that you are asking God to guard your heart from bitterness. That is so wise. Bitterness has a way of starting small and then quietly hardening us, stealing our peace long before it does anything to the other person. By bringing this to the Lord, you are already resisting the temptation to let resentment take root.

As we sat with your request, we thought of Joseph. For years he served faithfully, first in Potiphar's house, then in a dungeon after a false accusation. He helped a fellow prisoner who promptly forgot him for another two years. Humanly speaking, Joseph had every reason to become bitter. Yet he entrusted himself to God who saw everything, and in time God not only raised him up but used that long, hidden season to shape his character. We do not want to minimize your situation, but we hope you can take some real comfort in knowing that your unseen labor is never hidden from your Heavenly Father.

While you wait and pray for God to move, one concrete step might be to intentionally release each instance of feeling slighted in the moment it happens, perhaps by pausing to whisper silently, ā€œLord, I trust You with this.ā€ It is a small habit that can keep resentment from accumulating. We also want to affirm your desire to keep doing your best, not for recognition from your department head, but as a genuine offering to Christ. That perspective is a steady anchor when human acknowledgement falls short.

Father, thank You that You see every act of faithful labor this dear person has offered. Guard their heart from bitterness, and fill them with Your peace and quiet dignity. Give them strength to persevere, and in Your timing bring truth to light. We lift up their department head as they have asked, soften her heart, clear away confusion, and grant her true discernment and humility. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You think yourself forgotten and unseen; it is a heavy trial, but I pray you, look well to your own heart, for a bitter root may spring up. Ah, the bitterness of the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you look to Him whom you have pierced by your sin, you shall mourn for Him with a bitterness that sweetly swallows up every earthly gall. Then your workplace afflictions will shrink to their true size, for you will see the hand of a loving Father in them, and the bitterness of life will be taken away. It is well to be humbled by men, that we might learn humility before God; for to serve the Lord with all lowliness of mind is a greater honor than any title this world can bestow.

You have looked for recognition from your department head, but your Master in heaven saw every secret act of loyalty, and He will reward you openly. What though men forget? The Lord has graven you upon the palms of His hands; your walls are continually before Him. Let this truth quiet your spirit.

Work still with all your heart, as to the Lord, and not unto men; for it is not your prayers or your diligence that secure His favor, but the finished work of Christ cast overboard for you. Therein rest. And for the one who has been deceived, pray on, but let your pleading be like Daniel’s, low before the throne, seeking God’s glory and leaving the outcome to Him. He can disperse a fog of deceit with one breath of His mouth.

Only beware lest, while you cry for her deliverance from manipulation, you yourself are not entangled in the snare of self-pity. Come, poor timid gleaner, into the field; the Lord has commanded handfuls to be dropped on purpose for you. You are neither forsaken nor forgotten. Let not your heart be troubled.

Believe in God, believe also in Christ Jesus, who even now intercedes for you.

The prayer you have offered reveals a soul wounded, yet reaching toward God, which is commendable. But take heed, watching carefully, lest a root of bitterness spring up within you and by it many be defiled. For a root of bitterness does not yield sweet fruit; it fills the heart with hatred and abomination. You feel unseen and passed over. That sting is sharp, but consider: the bitterness of injustice does its greatest harm not to those who suffer it, but to those who commit it. If your department head has fallen under deceit and acts unfairly, her own soul is already in turmoil, her conscience a gnawing judge that no flattery can bribe. Pity her, then, rather than resent her, for she is the more wounded.

You ask God to touch her heart and open her eyes. This is a right prayer, yet do not let it become an obsession. There is a love that must abound in knowledge and all discernment, not a blind affection that leaves you vulnerable to further hurt. Pray with detachment, trusting the Lord to expose what is hidden in His time. Your labor is not for human masters, as you have rightly remembered from the Apostle. The honor that comes from men is a name of no account; it is the honor from God that endures. If your earthly superior forgets your help, be not distressed, for the God who sees in secret will not forget.

While you wait, cut out the root of this anxiety. Every conflict, every envy, springs from coveting something in this life, recognition, fair treatment, vindication. Let go of these. Stand firm in dignity and peace, doing your work as for Christ alone. The battles and strifes of workplace politics are not worthy to be named among the faithful, whose true care is to feed the hungry and protect the injured. Keep your own mind free from bitterness, and you will have already overcome the evil. If your conscience is clean, no thief can steal your true treasure. So pray for your adversary, yes, but more so guard your soul, that you may be found sincere and without offense until the day of Christ.
