We hear your cry for deliverance from those who bring torment into your life, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting this burden before the throne of grace. The pain and fear caused by such oppression are real, but we know that our God is greater than any force of darkness. The Bible assures us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."
We rebuke every spirit of torment, fear, and oppression that has been allowed to harass you, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, for the Lord is your refuge and strength (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that the chains of bondage are broken, and the hands of your tormentors are stayed by the power of the blood of Jesus. We pray that God would expose their schemes, frustrate their plans, and turn their hearts toward righteousness—or remove them entirely from your life if it be His will.
Father God, we ask You to surround this dear one with Your hedge of protection. Send Your holy angels to encamp around them, to guard their mind, body, and spirit from every attack (Psalm 91:11). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, flood their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them with Your might so they may stand firm against the enemy’s tactics, clothed in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).
We also encourage you to examine your heart and life, beloved, for any open doors that may have given the enemy access. Have you held onto unforgiveness, bitterness, or unrepented sin? The Word tells us in Ephesians 4:26-27, "Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." Confess any known sin before the Lord, and He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light, and the blood of Jesus will continue to cleanse you from all sin.
If these tormentors are people in your life, we pray for their salvation or removal, according to God’s perfect will. If they are spiritual forces, we stand on the authority of Jesus’ name to bind and cast them out. The enemy has no power over those who are in Christ (Colossians 1:13). Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We also urge you to seek godly counsel and fellowship with believers who can stand with you in prayer and support. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy seeks to devour those who are alone (1 Peter 5:8). Surround yourself with the body of Christ, who can encourage you and hold you accountable in your walk with the Lord.
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your promise that whatever we ask in Jesus’ name, believing, we shall receive (John 14:13-14). We declare that this torment will not have the final say in this life. Instead, Your peace, joy, and victory will reign. We pray for complete restoration—spirit, soul, and body—so that this dear one may walk in the fullness of the freedom Christ died to give them.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved or delivered (Acts 4:12). We seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus and declare that the work is finished. Amen.
