Tooth pain

The very leaves of the tree are for healing, and not a single leaf falls to the ground without the knowledge of our tender Husbandman. Your tooth, that small instrument of daily use, is not beneath His notice. When the skilled hands of men find no cause, it is that you might look higher than their instruments and say with the psalmist, "He healeth all my diseases." The pain that troubles you is not sent to destroy the work that has been done, but to draw your heart again to the Great Physician, whose touch is perfect restoration.

Consider how often healing and forgiveness ride in the same chariot. When Jesus walked among men, He did not merely address the body and leave the soul in its fever. It may be that this ache is permitted to quicken your dependence, to loosen your grip upon the things that years and expense have perfected. The Lord knows the worry that gnaws at your spirit, the fear that this small member might undo what has been so long in the making. Cast that burden upon Him who careth for you. His restoring work is not in vain, and no power of decay can thwart His purpose for those who trust Him.

You ask why they do not see it. The eyes of man are dim, but the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and the least things about Him are full of virtue. Even now, before the pain departs, He is working a deeper cure. Stand still and see the salvation of God. Wait upon Him, and let patience have her perfect work, that you may be entire, lacking nothing. He who fed the sparrows will furnish you with what you need for body and soul alike, and He will protect your loved ones under the shadow of His wings.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of a pain that the dentist cannot see and a costly work that now seems threatened. This trouble has come at the end of a long struggle, and the hidden nature of it multiplies your anxiety. Consider how the disciples were exceeding sorry when Christ told them plainly of His coming passion, even after He had promised resurrection on the third day. The thing they could not understand grieved them deeply, and they could not yet grasp the glory that would come from it. So it is with you. The pain is real and the fear over what you have labored to perfect is not a small thing, but let not your heart be troubled as though God does not see what the instruments of men fail to reveal.

His word is quick and powerful, piercing to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. It discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. If a man can look and find no cause, yet the Creator of the body knows every hidden part. He may use this very uncertainty to teach you not to trust in yourself but in Him who raises the dead. For when Paul was pressed out of measure, beyond strength, so that he despaired even of life, the purpose was that the power of God might be manifested. Your cry for healing is right and good, but do not let the sorrow of it become a sinful distraction that forgets how the righteous in every age have been recovered from dangers by the hope they had in God alone.

You ask Jesus to heal and protect you and your loved ones. Lift up this pain to Him, but do not let your mind be tyrannized by anger or despair as a child who smites his knee for passion when he has stumbled. The ways of the flesh offer no lasting consolation. While you seek the remedy, set your mind on things above, for your life is hid with Christ in God. The long and expensive effort was not outside His sight, and that which troubles it now is not hidden from Him. He who allowed a thorn in the flesh can make His grace sufficient in this very weakness. Trust His provision even if it should tarry, and do not let the fear of what might happen destroy the peace you should have as a temple of the Holy Spirit.

Pain has a way of pulling our thoughts into a tight, anxious circle. You went through so much to get this work done, years of effort, expense, and hope, and now a hidden ache threatens to undo it. And worse, the very person trained to spot the problem looked and saw nothing. That kind of worry can settle deep in your chest, making you replay every moment, second-guess every decision, and dread what might come next. I understand.

When Hezekiah received a letter filled with threats against everything he had built and trusted, he didn’t pretend the fear away. He took it straight into the temple and spread it out before the Lord. He wept, he named the danger, and he asked God to look. That’s a good picture for you right now. Jesus Himself, facing suffering He could have escaped, didn’t dismiss the reality of the cup; He prayed, trusting that the Father was on the throne even when the path was painful.

The dentist saw nothing, but the Lord sees everything. Our best plans and long labors are ultimately held in His hands, and He is not limited by what escapes human eyes. This doesn’t mean the pain is a punishment sent from above, Scripture never paints God as the author of our miseries in this fallen age, but it does mean He can use even this to anchor you deeper into His care. You tried to secure things with careful skill and ingenuity, and that was good. Now you’re being invited to look to the One who secures both body and soul, who calls you out of worry and into trust.

So bring the ache, the worry, the expensive work, and the loved ones on your heart right now before Jesus. Tell Him plainly, as Hezekiah did: “Look at this, Lord. Help me.” He is not distant. The same Savior who stilled a storm with a word knows how to quiet the storm inside you. He may bring healing to that tooth, or He may give you grace to bear it and wisdom for what comes next. Either way, He will not waste your tears or your trust. Let yourself be comforted and strengthened in His control, not because you see the resolution yet, but because He does.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this difficult time. It’s clear how deeply this tooth pain has weighed on your heart, especially after the long and careful work that went into restoring your dental health. We’ve been lifting up your concerns to the Lord, asking Him to bring clarity to the situation and to guide the hands of those caring for you. We know how unsettling it can be when pain persists without an obvious cause, and we’ve prayed for peace to guard your heart as you wait for answers.

We’re also praying for protection over the work that’s already been done—asking God to shield it from further complications and to bring complete healing to the area. It’s our hope that you’ll soon receive the clarity and relief you’re seeking, and that God will use this time to draw you even closer to Him. If you’ve seen any change or received an answer, we would love to rejoice with you and give Him the glory. If the pain or uncertainty continues, please don’t hesitate to post again so we can keep standing with you in prayer.

May the Lord bless you with His peace and presence as you continue to trust in Him. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
