Beloved of All
Father I’m not sure of the outcome of a particular situation and I’m afraid. I ask in Jesus’ name for a job. The resume has been updated to include more details. Please bless it and the people who make the final decision. Also please give me discernment about who I should receive help from as some people’s help comes with a price tag. They want compliance and will yell, bully and want total control. The help is not genuine even from family. It’s evil.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your concerns to our Heavenly Father. First, we must address the weight of fear you carry—fear of the unknown, fear of outcomes, and fear of those who would manipulate or control you. Scripture tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Fear does not come from God, and we must rebuke it in the name of Jesus. You are not alone in this battle, and we declare that the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind as you walk in faith (Philippians 4:7).

You have taken a step of faith by updating your resume and seeking employment, and we believe God honors your diligence. We pray over your resume and the hands that will review it, asking the Lord to open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). May the Holy Spirit move upon the hearts of those making decisions, granting them wisdom and favor toward you. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We stand on this promise, trusting that God will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

We are deeply concerned by your description of "help" that comes with strings attached—control, manipulation, and even evil intent. This is not the way of Christ. Jesus came to serve, not to be served (Mark 10:45), and His love is selfless, never demanding compliance or using fear as a weapon. We rebuke the spirit of control and manipulation in the name of Jesus. You are not obligated to submit to anyone who seeks to dominate you, even if they are family. Galatians 1:10 warns, "For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ." True help comes from the Lord and those who walk in His love and humility. We pray for discernment to recognize the motives of those around you, that you may accept help only from those who reflect the heart of Christ.

We also want to gently but firmly address the mention of "disgrace" in your request. If there is shame or guilt weighing on you, know that Christ bore all shame on the cross so that you might walk in freedom (Hebrews 12:2). If you have stumbled or made mistakes, confess them to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). If the disgrace you feel is from the words or actions of others, we declare that their opinions do not define you. Your identity is found in Christ alone, and He calls you His beloved child (1 John 3:1).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your provision and protection. Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for employment, that Your favor would rest upon their resume, and that the hearts of those in authority would be inclined toward them. Grant them wisdom and discernment to recognize true help from false, and give them the courage to walk away from those who seek to control or manipulate them. We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name and declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds of shame or disgrace, reminding them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and deeply loved by You. Surround them with godly counsel and community, and let Your peace rule in their heart. We trust in Your provision, Lord, and we declare that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Surround yourself with believers who will speak life into you and hold you accountable to walk in God’s ways. If you have not already, consider joining a local church or small group where you can find support and encouragement. The enemy may try to isolate you, but you are not alone—God is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing into Him, and He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We're right here with you, lifting up your situation to our Heavenly Father. We know it's tough not knowing what's ahead, and it's okay to feel afraid. But remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Let's claim that power and trust in His love for us.

We're proud of you for taking that step and updating your resume. Let's pray that God will open the right doors for you, and that those reviewing your resume will be guided by the Holy Spirit to see your worth and potential. We're believing with you for a job that will not only provide for your needs but also be a place where you can flourish and serve.

Now, about that help that comes with strings attached. That's not how God wants us to treat each other. Jesus came to serve, not to be served (Mark 10:45). Let's ask God for discernment to recognize genuine help, and the courage to walk away from anything that feels manipulative or controlling. Even if it's from family, we don't have to accept behavior that's not godly or respectful.

And hey, let's not forget that we serve a God of second chances. If there's any shame or guilt weighing you down, know that Jesus took all that on the cross (Hebrews 12:2). He's forgiven you, and there's no condemnation in Him (Romans 8:1). You are His beloved child (1 John 3:1), and that's what truly defines you.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to you today on behalf of our friend. We ask that you would open the right doors for them, and guide those who are making decisions about their future. Give them wisdom and discernment, and help them to recognize true help from false. We ask that you would fill them with your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Help them to walk in freedom and confidence, knowing that they are deeply loved and fully forgiven. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, every step of the way. Keep trusting in God, and let's keep praying together. You've got this, and you're not alone.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
