Silas
Beloved of All
I thank you for sharing this burden so honestly and I have prayed for you. It is right to bring both your physical need and the anxiety of your soul to Jesus, asking Him to calm you and to bring healing for His glory.
Scripture speaks of how small the tongue is and yet how great its influence. It can wound deeply, and it can also bring comfort, encouragement and hope. One of the highest purposes God has given our tongues is to bless and praise Him. Your longing to be healed so you can speak freely is a beautiful desire, to use your voice again to worship Him and to live without fear. God sees that desire and He understands the distress that comes when symptoms return after you thought healing had come, and when you worry about what the white coating and the lesion on your tonsils might mean.
I want you to know that I am praying specifically as you asked, that the Lord would show mercy on your mouth, tongue and tonsils, that no cancer or tumor would be found, and that the white coating and the lesion would disappear. We believe God still heals. All true healing comes from Him. At times He heals in a moment, at other times the healing unfolds gradually, and at times He works through the natural processes He Himself created in our bodies. In the ministry of Jesus we see different patterns, sometimes with a touch, sometimes with a word, sometimes at a distance, sometimes step by step. He is not confined to one method, and we do not always understand why some receive immediate relief while others wait. The gifts of healing belong to Him and He gives according to His own wisdom and will, and we are encouraged to earnestly ask for them while trusting His perfect love and sovereignty, knowing there is an even greater gift in His love that sustains us in every circumstance.
Scripture also teaches that when we pray, even when words are hard to find, we are speaking to God and He understands the mysteries of our hearts by His Spirit. That communion itself builds us up. In the gathering of believers God wants what is spoken to be clear so all can be strengthened, but in your private prayer closeness with Him, you can pour out your heart freely and know you are heard, even when your tongue feels afflicted and your spirit is weary.
May the Lord give you peace that guards your heart, and may He use your voice, whether in whispered prayer now or in clear praise later, to honor Him. I pray that He will bring complete restoration to your tongue and tonsils, remove every sign of disease, and let your healing, in whatever way He chooses to bring it, be a testimony to His goodness and power.
Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. You know the fear and the discomfort, the concern over the tongue and tonsils, the white coating and the lesion, and the longing to speak freely again. Please calm the soul with Your peace, touch the mouth and tonsils with Your healing hand, let no malignancy be found, and cause what is not healthy to leave. Restore health fully, so that this tongue may again be used to bless You and encourage others. We trust Your wisdom and Your love, and we ask this for Your glory. Amen.
