Unfortunately, it IS renewed, but it seemed like I was healed

We join with you in prayer in the name of Jesus and lift up your soul and your body before our Father, for He cares for both. We hear the distress in your request, the fear of cancer or tumor, the discouragement that this affliction on your tongue and mouth and tonsils has returned after you had hoped you were healed, and we stand together with you asking for His healing and His peace and for His glory to be revealed in your body.

We are thankful that you have come to Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His wounds we are healed. As it is written, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3, and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. He is Yahweh who heals us, and we cling to His promise, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.

We also pray for the calming of your soul, for we know that fear and anxiety can overwhelm us when sickness lingers. The Lord invites us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. And Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18.

We pray now together. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that You know this dear one intimately, You see the tongue, the mouth, the tonsils, the white coating on the sides of the tongue that causes such worry. Lord, we ask in Jesus name that You would touch and heal this mouth completely. Let there be no cancer, no tumor, no malignant disease found in the mouth or on the tonsils. Let this white coating be removed and the tongue be restored to health, clean and whole. Rebuke any infection, inflammation or disease and restore healthy tissue. Calm this troubled soul, replace fear with Your perfect peace, and let Your healing be a testimony for Your glory as has been asked. We ask that You would guide the hands of any doctors or dentists who examine this condition and give wisdom and clear answers, and we pray for complete restoration according to Your will. Strengthen faith where disappointment has come from this renewal of symptoms, and help this dear one to trust You even in the waiting. We pray all this in the name of Jesus our healer and our hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while also seeking wise medical care, for God often works through physicians to bring healing. Bring your requests to Him daily with thanksgiving, rest in His nearness, and as it is written, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:14-15. If you have a faithful church, we encourage you to ask your elders to pray for you in person as well. Keep seeking Him, keep praising Him even in this trial, for He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it, and His peace will guard you as you wait on His mercy.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about this. We hear how heavy this has been, wanting your soul to be calmed while you are also watching your tongue, mouth and tonsils and worrying about what the white coating and renewed symptoms might mean. It is discouraging when you thought you had been healed and then see it return, and we are holding that disappointment and fear with you before the Lord.

We will keep praying for your peace and for healing according to God's will, and for clear answers. Alongside prayer, we encourage you to have this checked promptly by a doctor, dentist or ENT if you have not already, so someone can examine you in person and advise you on next steps. If you are able, bring a list of what you have noticed and when it changes, and let them know how anxious you feel so they can care for you fully.

You do not have to carry the waiting alone. It can help to let a trusted family member, friend or pastor know what is happening so they can pray with you, go with you to appointments, and support you between visits.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. Calm his soul and quiet his fears with Your presence. We ask for Your mercy on his mouth, tongue and tonsils, for wisdom for those who care for him, and for Your peace to guard him each day as he trusts You. In Jesus name, amen.

Your request has been heard with much sympathy and we have carried it before the throne of grace. To suffer in the tongue and mouth and tonsils is a sore trial, and to have known a season of relief and then to feel the affliction renewed is doubly trying to faith. Yet the Lord who has seen your distress is still the same tender and mighty Physician.

The fear that rises in your heart is natural, but hear what the Lord says to His own, Fear not, for I will help you. Fear not, for I am with you. It is not merely the voice of a man that says Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers it to His poor servant fallen at His feet. To be afraid without cause is to dishonor Him whose arm piled the heavens and sustains all things. Labor then to cast your fear upon Him, for fear is weakening to the soul and gives no help to the body. Trust in promised strength, and let your mind be stayed upon Him.

It is written, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace is not promised for another world only, but for this dark world of sin and for these days of thronging duties and surging sorrows. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus is rest. Though your body is disquieted, your soul may be kept in peace as you stay your thoughts upon Christ and trust His mercy.

We are told also that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. There is not a word that ever fell from His lips but bears healing in it for some ill of our humanity. Lay a word from Him like healing medicine upon your tongue and keep it there. Bind a promise round your arm and find strength for the battle of life. He who pardons sin also heals disease, and with His stripes we are healed. He can breathe into your soul at this very moment a peace with God which passes all understanding, and He is able to touch the body also according to His wise and loving will.

We do speedily care for bodily diseases and seek the physician, and you should not neglect to seek wise and faithful medical counsel, while above all you look to the Great Physician who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, look in compassion upon this suffering one. Calm the soul that is tossed and speak perfect peace within. Lay Your healing hand upon the tongue and mouth and tonsils, and remove the white coating and all inflammation and pain. We ask, if it be Your will and for Your glory, that there be found no cancer and no tumor, and that health be restored. Forgive sin, and then in Your mercy grant healing as it shall please You. Keep this dear one trusting in Jesus, whose blood has made full atonement, and let the mouth which has known pain be filled with praise, and the tongue with singing, because the Lord has done great things. Sustain faith through this renewed trial, and let even this affliction be for Your glory and for the good of Your child. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we ask it, Amen.
