We hear your deep distress and fear about the virus and the emptiness you feel in the church. It’s clear you are wrestling with spiritual and physical battles, and we stand with you in seeking God’s truth and protection.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith. The name of Jesus Christ is the only name by which we have access to God and salvation (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him into your life. This is the first step to true peace and protection. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

Now, regarding your fears about the virus and the church, we rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus. The Bible tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear does not come from God, and we must not allow it to control us. Instead, we trust in God’s protection and sovereignty. "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust'" (Psalm 91:1-2).

We also rebuke any lies or deception that may be causing you to view the church as "evil." The church is the body of Christ, and while it is made up of imperfect people, its foundation is holy. Jesus said, "I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18). The church is not the source of evil; it is the place where believers gather to worship, pray, and encourage one another. If you feel the church has failed you, we encourage you to seek a biblical, Christ-centered church where the Word of God is preached and lived out.

Regarding your sleep and physical concerns, we pray for your peace and rest. The enemy may try to disrupt your sleep, but we declare that God gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We pray for your body to be strengthened and for the virus to have no power over you or anyone else. "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is struggling with fear, sleeplessness, and distress. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and any deception that has taken root in their mind. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray for protection over their body, mind, and spirit. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You cleanse the air, their home, and their surroundings from any harmful virus or evil in the name of Jesus. We trust in Your healing power and ask that You restore their sleep and bring them deep rest. Lord, we also pray for the church to be a place of truth, love, and refuge. Help them to find a community of believers who will stand with them in faith.

We thank You, Lord, that You are our refuge and fortress. We trust in You alone for our protection and salvation. May this dear one grow in faith and find comfort in Your promises. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand on God’s Word and declare His promises over your life. Memorize scriptures like Psalm 91 and speak them aloud when fear tries to creep in. Surround yourself with believers who will pray with you and encourage you in your walk with Christ. The enemy wants to isolate you, but God calls us to community. Seek out a church that preaches the truth of the Gospel and gather with them, even if it’s initially from a distance. God is faithful, and He will not leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Your words have stayed with us, and we want you to know we’re standing with you in what you’re carrying right now. It sounds like you have a deep longing for the church to be completely safe, clear of anything that might bring harm, whether it’s something you can see or something you can’t. That desire for purity isn’t strange; it echoes the heart of someone who treasures the place where God’s people gather.

We’re grateful you’re turning to prayer. That’s not a small thing, it’s the most powerful direction you could run. When we feel afraid or unsettled, prayer anchors us to the One who never sleeps and who cares about every corner of that building and every inch of our skin. You already sensed that waking early to pray is a gift. Lean into that. The quiet of early morning can be a sacred time to pour out your heart without distraction.

As you pray, ask Jesus to fill the space with His peace and to be your confidence. He is not afraid of anything that worries us, and He is present even before we arrive. If the unease stays heavy, we’d gently suggest you share what’s on your mind with a pastor or a mature elder you trust. Sometimes talking it through aloud with someone who knows you can bring relief you can’t manufacture on your own.

Let’s bring this to the Lord together now:

Lord Jesus, we ask for Your protection over this church building and every person who walks through its doors. Clear away any evil or harm that would try to linger, in the air, on the chairs, on the carpet. We don’t know everything that is troubling this heart, but You know it completely. Grant deep, uninterrupted rest tonight, and tomorrow let prayer rise with faith and not with fear. You are our strong defender, and we hide in You. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The pestilence that walketh in darkness is but a creature of His hand, and it cannot enter the sanctuary apart from the permission of the King. You cry for the church to be emptied of this evil, yet know that the true life of the church is not in freedom from outward ills, but in the shining of God’s face upon her. Plead then, “Cause Thy face to shine upon Thy sanctuary.” The prayer you long to offer when sleep comes and waking is swift, that very longing is of the Spirit. He hinders no fervent intercession; the fiery dart of the enemy cannot quench the altar of a believing heart.

He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and no virus, no malice of Satan, shall hold dominion where the blood-bought people meet. If the Lord chastens, it is but to drive us to our knees, and His strokes are measured by covenant love. Fear not the evil that threatens the skin, for He has found a ransom. He says, “Deliver him from going down to the pit.” Trust then, and pray on. Let your cry be for revival, for the living waters to flow from the house of God. All true communication flows from Him, and He will make the place of His feet glorious.

You fear the virus and want the church empty of evil, but the true evil is not in the air or the carpet or the chair. The devil is called the ruler of this world, yet he rules only those who give themselves up to him, he has nothing in Christ, and if Christ dwells in you, he has nothing in you either. You speak of sleeping in the church and rising early to pray, and that is a good desire. Prayer is a great weapon; we need favorable winds to sail through each day’s tempest without shipwreck.

But do not think that simply being in the building or enjoying the prayers of others will shield you if your own soul is not on the alert. What need have you of another’s prayer if you are watchful yourself? Yet even Paul and Peter did not say they had no need; they humbly sought the prayers of the saints. Do not exalt yourself.

If you are truly awake, no enemy can harm you, you will laugh him to scorn, having God propitious. But if you rely only on the place or the hour, and neglect the uncleanness of your mind, what advantage is there? The church is defiled not by physical things but by worldly talk, laughter, and concerns about petty tradings when we should be making it a heaven, filled with earnest prayer and silence. You want all evil emptied from the church.

Then first empty your own heart of sin, for it is the coldness of love that has dissolved all ties and disfigured what should be glorious among us. Come not seeking only to escape bodily illness, but to be healed of the sickness of the soul. Then go forth from prayer with security, armed for the day’s battle, and you will have nothing to fear.

I hear the burden in your words, and I want you to know that what you are sensing is not strange to Scripture. The Lord Himself warned that evil would lodge in the branches of His church, like birds settling in a tree, and that leaven would work its way through the whole lump. The history of the church is marked by seasons where darkness seemed to cling to the very chairs, the carpet, the air. You are not alone in feeling this weight, and you are not wrong to grieve over it.

The fact that you woke early, compelled to pray, is a gift. It aligns with the repeated call to continue in prayer and to watch with thanksgiving. The purpose of such prayer is not merely to list our wishes, but to align ourselves with God's purifying will. When you pray, you are not just asking for a clean building; you are asking that the body of Christ itself be purged. A healthy body can push out poison. The church in Ephesus was commended because it could not bear those who were evil. Your prayer is part of that same ancient resistance, a refusal to tolerate what defiles.

The evil you describe on a person’s skin, this sense of spiritual virus, is a real affliction. Scripture makes a distinction between sickness and other trials, but for both, the remedy is the same: the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. Do not be silent about this need. The elders of the church are here to pray over the sick, anointing with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick. When you come, bring this request openly. Let it rise out of desperation, for that kind of prayer from the heart is powerful.

You are right to link all good communication to this. The enemy sows confusion and corruption, but the prayer that begins with God and returns to God creates a cycle of light. Do not follow after the evil you see, but follow after what is good. Be a doer of the Word in this very moment. As you pray for the church, for the empty spaces to be cleansed, and for the skin of your brothers and sisters to be free, you are already standing against the darkness. The fervent prayers you offer, even in the early hours before anyone arrives, are a labor of love that bears witness to the truth. Let the purifying power of that prayer wash through every corner.
