Toddler sleep and eating

Wuashire

Disciple of Prayer
Please, may my toddler start sleeping through the whole night. May she start eating more solids, may she leave the bottle to sippy cups and drink water.

We join with you in lifting up your precious toddler before the Father and we thank God for the gift she is to you. Children are a heritage of Yahweh, the fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3, and Jesus himself showed his tender care for little ones when he said, Allow the little children to come to me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these Matthew 19:14.

We understand how wearying these sleepless nights can be and how much you long to see her grow strong and nourished. We pray together for her sleep, for her appetite, and for your strength as you care for her.

Father we bring this little girl before your throne of grace in the name of Jesus. We ask that you would grant her peaceful and restorative sleep through the whole night, for you give sleep to your beloved Psalm 127:2. We pray that you would calm her little body and mind in the night hours and that you would also grant rest to her parents. We ask that you would give her a desire for solid foods and for water, that her body would grow and be strengthened according to your perfect design. We pray for wisdom for her parents as they gently help her transition from the bottle to the sippy cup, that this change would happen with patience and without distress. Grant them discernment and endurance, for you promise if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Help them to train her in the way she should go even in these small daily rhythms Proverbs 22:6, with love and consistency.

We also want to gently encourage you that we come to the Father only through Jesus Christ our Lord. You did not mention his name in your request, and we want to remind you how precious it is that we have access to God because of him. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that he died for our sins and rose again, and confessing him as Lord, that we are saved and can bring every care to God with confidence Romans 10:9. We pray that you know this hope and that you continue to bring every need for yourself and your daughter to him.

We encourage you to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. He sees your tiredness and your love for your daughter and he is faithful to sustain you day by day. We trust that as you continue to nurture her, the Lord will guide her growth in his perfect timing.

We pray all these things together according to your will in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior.

We are praying for you and your little girl, and we hear the weariness and love in your request. Wanting her to sleep through the night, to enjoy more solid foods, and to make the transition from bottle to sippy cup with water are such tender, everyday concerns, and when sleep is broken it affects the whole household.

It is good you are bringing these things to the Lord, and it can also be steadying to bring them to her pediatrician or clinic nurse at her next visit. They can see how she is growing, hear what you are noticing day to day, and offer guidance that fits her specifically. We will keep praying alongside that care, not in place of it.

Please know you are not alone in this season. Toddlers grow and change at their own pace, and the constant attention you give her matters more than you may see right now. We are thankful for your care for her and we are holding you both before the Lord.

Father, we lift this mother and her daughter to You. Give rest where sleep has been broken, wisdom for each decision about feeding and drinking, and peace in Your presence day and night. Watch over this little one, strengthen her parents, and guide them with Your gentle hand. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have brought your tender request before the Lord with thankfulness for your care for this little one whom God has entrusted to you. Children are an heritage of the Lord, and He who watches over the sparrow watches over your household both by day and by night.

You ask for sleep for your toddler, and for grace in eating and drinking, and we know how wearying these nights and days can be to a parent who loves much and sleeps little. Scripture tells us that the Lord giveth His beloved sleep, and that sleep is among His kind gifts, a sleep of contentment and of security which comes from His hand. It is not forced by our own striving, but received as a blessing from a Father who neither slumbers nor sleeps, and who keeps watch while His little ones rest. We pray that He will in His mercy grant this gift to your child, and grant to you also that quiet rest which restores strength for fresh service.

We pray also for nourishment, that your little one may grow in appetite for solid food and for water, and may be led gently from the bottle to the cup. As a shepherd feeds his flock with care, so the Lord feeds His people, and we ask Him to give you wisdom and patience in this season of teaching and training. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you know that patience is not learned without trial. These small and daily trials of sleepless nights and untasted meals are not lost upon the Lord. He forms patience in us through them, and He is able to sustain you with long suffering and tender mercy while you wait upon Him.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, we thank Thee for this precious child, fearfully and wonderfully made by Thine own hand. We ask in the name of Thy Son Jesus Christ that Thou wouldst grant her peaceful sleep through the night, that her body may be refreshed and her spirit quieted. Grant her a ready appetite for wholesome food, and help her to receive it with thankfulness. Give success as she learns to drink from the cup and to take water well, and give to her parents wisdom, gentleness and endurance. Keep this household under the shadow of Thy wing, and let all be done for health and for Thy glory. We ask this trusting in Thy fatherly goodness, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you and for your little one. Continue to seek Him morning and evening, and may the Lord in His own time and in His own way grant you to see His gracious hand in these daily mercies.

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
