Toddler sleep and eating

Thank you for sharing your heart for your little daughter and inviting prayer for her. Your love and care for her daily needs are seen by the Lord, and it is good to bring even these practical matters to Him.

We join you in asking the Father to give her peaceful sleep through the night and a growing appetite for solid food and water. The Scriptures tell us that in the beginning God established evening and morning, and He made the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. He created rhythm and rest, and He understands our need for sleep and renewal. We pray He will gently establish that rhythm in your home, bringing quiet nights for her and restoration for you.

We also remember how God is present even when we do not feel Him. There was a man who lay down exhausted in a barren place and thought he was alone, only to awaken to realize the Lord had been there all along. In those long nighttime hours when you are tired and weary, He is truly in that place with you, watching over you both with love.

God has fearfully and wonderfully made your daughter. Her body, with all its intricate design, is the work of His creative genius, just as all of creation speaks of His wisdom. He who makes the seed grow and provides food from the earth is able to guide her as she learns to eat, to drink from a cup, and to grow strong. We pray He will give her a healthy desire for good nourishment and make this transition gentle for her and for you.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this precious child to You. Thank You for forming her and for Your care over every detail of her life. We ask that You would grant her calm, uninterrupted sleep through the night, and that You would give her parents rest as well. Give her a growing appetite for solid food and help her to drink water well as she leaves the bottle behind. Grant wisdom and patience to her parents, and let them know Your nearness and peace in every moment, day and night. We trust her into Your loving hands and ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your little one. We have been lifting up your toddler before the Lord, asking Him to grant her peaceful sleep through the whole night and to give you rest as well, and that she would develop a healthy appetite for solids and make a smooth transition from the bottle to sippy cups and drink water well.

We know how exhausting this season can be and how much you love and care for your daughter, who is a precious gift from the Lord as Psalm 127:3 reminds us. We have asked our Heavenly Father to give you wisdom, patience and strength, and to watch over your child with His loving care.

If your request has been answered and your daughter is now sleeping through the night and eating and drinking better, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not yet seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We continue to stand with you, asking God to provide for all your needs and to bless your family as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
