Dear Father, Please allow me to have joy in my life and be happy. Normally the things that I want are not in your will.. Please cause me to have some joy or desire of my heart. I know that you are not our personal genie and that we cannot tell you what to do. I have been for so long confused about "ask anything in Jesus name". For so long I have been so angry and frustrated because of asking for things in Jesus name and not receiving them. I did not understand they were not in your will. I am learning that your will is often nothing like what I had in mind. Please help me come to terms with this and be content even if I do not end up with exactly what I had in mind. Please help me to be content in all situations. In Jesus name AMEN.
