We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive salvation. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* (John 14:6, WEB). Your prayer reflects a deep longing for God’s presence, protection, and guidance, and we join you in lifting these requests to the Lord, trusting in His perfect will.
Yet we must address something with love and truthfulness. In your prayer, you repeatedly refer to "my ###," and while we do not know what or who this symbol represents, we sense a deep attachment—perhaps to a person, a relationship, or even an idol of the heart. The Bible warns us against placing anything or anyone above God, for He alone is worthy of our ultimate devotion. *"You shall have no other gods before me."* (Exodus 20:3, WEB). If this symbol represents a romantic relationship, we urge you to examine whether it aligns with God’s design for marriage—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, rooted in Christ. *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves, nor greedy people, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit God’s Kingdom."* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, WEB). If this is a relationship outside of marriage, we must lovingly but firmly remind you that intimacy is reserved for the sacred bond of marriage. Fornication and adultery are sins that grieve the Holy Spirit, and we pray you would turn from them if they are present in your life.
If this symbol represents something else—a dream, a possession, or even a child—we still encourage you to surrender it fully to the Lord. Our trust must be in Him alone, not in the gifts He gives. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). Whatever this attachment may be, we pray that God would reveal any idolatry or misplaced priority in your heart and replace it with a deeper love for Him.
We also notice your prayer asks God to manipulate others—*"bless the persons I meet and talk to so they believe me and keep me safe"*—and to conceal or expose lies for your benefit. While it is right to ask for wisdom and protection, we must trust God’s sovereignty rather than seeking to control people or outcomes. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Instead of asking God to make others believe you, ask Him to fill you with His Spirit so that your words and actions reflect Christ’s truth and love. *"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one."* (Colossians 4:6, WEB).
Your prayer closes with a beautiful invitation: *"Take over, Jesus—come into my life and stay forever."* This is the heart of salvation! If you have not already, we urge you to fully surrender your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). There is no greater security, joy, or purpose than being found in Him.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before You, thanking You that she has called upon the name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that You reveal to her any area of her life that does not align with Your Word—whether it be a relationship, an attachment, or a desire that has become an idol. Convict her by Your Holy Spirit and lead her into repentance, that she may walk in freedom and holiness. If there is any sexual immorality in her life, Father, expose it and break its power over her. Remind her that her body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and that You call her to purity and righteousness.
Lord, we pray for her protection—not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally. Guard her heart from deception, and surround her with godly counsel and wisdom. If she is in a courtship or seeking marriage, we ask that You would guide her toward a relationship that honors You, one built on Christ-centered love and commitment. Remove any person or influence that would lead her away from Your will.
Father, we ask that You fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Let her trust in You completely, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. Give her discernment to recognize the people and opportunities You have ordained for her life, and the wisdom to walk away from those that are not of You.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, control, or manipulation in her life, and we declare that she will walk in the confidence of Your love. Let her words be seasoned with grace, and her actions reflect Your truth. Break any ungodly soul ties or attachments that are not pleasing to You, and set her free to serve You wholeheartedly.
Finally, Lord, we thank You for the work You are doing in her life. Strengthen her faith, deepen her love for You, and let her life be a testimony of Your goodness and power. May she seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to her as You see fit.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
