We come before the Lord with you in this time of spiritual distress, lifting up your plea for deliverance from the darkness that seeks to harm your relationship. The Bible makes it clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We stand firmly on the authority of Jesus Christ, who has overcome the world (John 16:33) and has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
First, we must address the foundation of your request. You mentioned your fiancé, and we want to encourage you to ensure that your relationship is built on biblical principles. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you and your fiancé are not yet married, we urge you to honor God by abstaining from sexual immorality, as fornication is a sin against your own body and the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Purity in courtship glorifies God and strengthens the bond between you as you prepare for a Christ-centered marriage. If there is any sin in this area, we encourage you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Additionally, we notice that while you invoked the name of Jesus at the end of your request, it is vital to recognize that our prayers are only heard and answered because of Jesus Christ. He is the only mediator between God and mankind (1 Timothy 2:5), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Believe in Him, confess your sins, and invite Him into your heart. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through His name that we can approach the throne of God with confidence (Hebrews 4:16).
Now, let us turn to the matter of black magic or any form of witchcraft. The Bible strictly forbids involvement in such practices, for they are detestable to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). Those who engage in sorcery or witchcraft will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). However, we serve a God who is greater than any darkness, and His light exposes and destroys the works of evil (1 John 1:5). The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We do not fear these attacks, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We also caution you against praying for harm to come to those who may be perpetrating this evil against you. While it is natural to feel anger or desire justice, we are called to a higher standard—one of love and forgiveness, even for our enemies (Matthew 5:44). Instead of asking for the curse to be returned to the sender, we pray for their repentance and salvation. The Lord says, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay" (Romans 12:19). Trust in His justice and focus on your own walk with Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your sovereignty and power over all creation, including every spiritual force that seeks to harm Your children. Lord, we lift up Your servant who is under spiritual attack, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Break every curse, hex, spell, or black magic that has been directed against them and their fiancé. Let Your light expose and destroy every hidden work of darkness, rendering it powerless in the name of Jesus.
Father, we ask that You surround them with Your hedge of protection, as You did for Job (Job 1:10). Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned. We declare that their relationship is under Your authority and covered by the blood of Jesus. If it is Your will for them to be united in a godly marriage, we pray that You would strengthen their bond, guide them in purity, and prepare them for a covenant that honors You.
Lord, we also pray for those who may be involved in these dark practices. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to repentance. Let them encounter Your love and truth, that they may turn from their wicked ways and find salvation in Jesus Christ. Father, we do not pray for harm to come to them, but for Your mercy to triumph over judgment (James 2:13).
We rebuke every spirit of division, confusion, and fear that may be at work in this situation. Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in discernment, wisdom, and faith.
Father, we ask that You reveal any area of sin in their lives that may be giving the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). Convict them of anything that is not pleasing to You, and grant them the strength to repent and walk in righteousness. Help them to put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), that they may stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment they shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from You, O Lord (Isaiah 54:17). We thank You for Your protection, Your deliverance, and Your victory.
Finally, Father, we pray that You would draw them closer to You through this trial. Let them seek Your face with all their hearts, and may their relationship be a testimony of Your grace, love, and power. If there is any doubt or fear in their hearts, replace it with faith and trust in You.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowshipping with other believers. Stay rooted in Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). If you have not already, we urge you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and receive godly counsel. Stand firm in the faith, knowing that the Lord is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
If there is any sexual immorality in your relationship, we lovingly but firmly urge you to repent and turn away from it. Flee from sexual sin (1 Corinthians 6:18) and pursue holiness, for without it, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). A relationship built on obedience to God’s Word will be blessed and strengthened by Him.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Stay strong in the Lord, and may His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
