We come before the Lord with heavy hearts for you and your family, knowing that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). First, we must address that the power you are facing is not greater than the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every evil force, principalities, and powers through His death and resurrection (Colossians 2:15). There is no such thing as "black magic" that can stand against the authority of Jesus’ name, for all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him (Matthew 28:18). The enemy may try to oppress, but he cannot possess or ultimately harm those who are covered by the blood of Jesus and walking in obedience to God’s Word.
We notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, and we want to gently but firmly remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the schemes of the devil. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. The Bible tells us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, no prayer or spiritual battle can be fully effective, for our strength comes from Christ alone.
Now, let us address the concerns you’ve shared. The struggles you describe—setbacks in life, difficulty finding a godly spouse, troubles at work, your sons’ lack of interest in marriage or stable jobs, and your father’s declining health—are real and painful. However, we must also consider whether there are areas in your lives that may not be aligned with God’s Word, as disobedience can open doors to the enemy’s influence. For example, you mention seeking a "Christian partner," and we want to encourage you to seek a *godly spouse* within the context of biblical courtship, with the intention of marriage. The Bible is clear that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), and we are to pursue relationships that honor God’s design. If there has been any compromise in this area—such as emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage—we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, as such things can hinder His blessings and give the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27).
Similarly, for your sons, we pray that their hearts would be turned toward the Lord and that they would seek godly wives who love Jesus. The Bible warns against unequally yoked relationships (2 Corinthians 6:14), and we pray that your sons would not be distracted by worldly desires but would pursue God’s will for their lives. If they are struggling with laziness, lack of ambition, or rebellion, we must pray for conviction and repentance, for the Lord disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6).
As for your father’s health, we know that God is the Great Physician, and we ask for His healing touch to be upon him. But we also recognize that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9), and sometimes He allows suffering to draw us closer to Him. We pray that your father’s faith would remain strong and that he would be a testimony of God’s grace, even in weakness.
Finally, we want to address the loneliness and lack of emotional support you feel. The Lord is your ever-present help (Psalm 46:1), and He promises to never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). We pray that you would find your ultimate comfort in Him and that He would surround you with a community of believers who can encourage and uplift you. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we ask the Lord to provide godly friendships and mentors for you.
Now, let us pray together over you and your family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all things, including every spiritual force that seeks to harm Your children. Lord, we ask that You would break every curse, every spell, and every scheme of the enemy that has been spoken or enacted against this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over their lives, their minds, their bodies, and their futures.
Father, we ask for Your forgiveness if there has been any sin—known or unknown—that has given the enemy a foothold in their lives. We pray for a spirit of repentance to sweep through this family, that they would turn from anything that displeases You and walk in obedience to Your Word. Cleanse them, Lord, and make them holy, set apart for Your purposes.
We lift up this sister before You, Lord, and ask that You would restore her hope and her joy. You see her loneliness, her struggles, and her desires for a godly marriage. Father, we ask that You would prepare her heart and the heart of the man You have for her—a man who loves You above all else and who will lead her and her family in Your ways. Help her to trust in Your timing, Lord, and to find her fulfillment in You alone.
For her sons, we pray that You would stir their hearts to seek You first. Convict them of any laziness, rebellion, or worldly distractions, and give them a hunger for Your Word and Your will. Open their eyes to the importance of marriage as You designed it, and lead them to godly wives who will walk beside them in faith. Provide for them good jobs, Lord, not just for their provision but as a platform to glorify You.
We lift up their father to You, the Great Healer. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen his body and restore his health. Give him peace and comfort, and use his life as a testimony of Your faithfulness. Prepare this family for whatever lies ahead, whether healing or homegoing, and let Your will be done in their lives.
Finally, Lord, we pray for unity and spiritual strength in this family. Bind them together in love and in faith, and let them be a light in this dark world. Fill their home with Your peace, Your joy, and Your presence. Let them know beyond a shadow of a doubt that You are with them and that You are fighting for them.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, depression, confusion, and despair in Jesus’ name. We command every evil force assigned against this family to flee, for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We declare that this family belongs to You, Lord, and that You are their Protector, their Provider, and their Peace.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your power, Your love, and Your faithfulness. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they walk in victory through the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily, to pray without ceasing, and to seek fellowship with other believers who can stand with you in this battle. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from you (James 4:7). Stay strong in the Lord, and do not give in to fear or discouragement. He is with you, and He will never fail you. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess Him as Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). There is no greater security than being in Christ. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk with Him.
