We join with you in lifting up this heartfelt request, for we know that faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1 WEB). Your desire to grow in trust and surrender to God’s provision is a prayer He delights to answer, for without faith, it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6 WEB). The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB), and we declare this truth over you now. Fear and doubt are tools of the enemy to keep us from walking in the fullness of what God has called us to. But Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33 WEB), and in Him, we find perfect peace as we fix our eyes on Him, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).
Let us remember the words of our Lord: *"Don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB). When our focus is on Him, our hearts are guarded by His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). Even in the storms of life, Jesus is with us, and He asks, *"Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?"* (Matthew 8:26 WEB). Let us not be like the Israelites in the wilderness, who saw God’s miracles yet still doubted—rather, let us be like the centurion who declared, *"Lord, I’m not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed."* (Matthew 8:8 WEB). Jesus marveled at his faith, and we pray that same kind of faith would rise up in you—a faith that does not waver, even when circumstances seem impossible.
We also encourage you to meditate on God’s Word daily, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17 WEB). Fill your heart with His promises, such as *"I will never leave you or forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5 WEB) and *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). When doubt creeps in, combat it with Scripture, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12 WEB). And remember, even when your faith feels small, Jesus said that if you have faith like a mustard seed, you can move mountains (Matthew 17:20 WEB). It is not the *size* of your faith that matters, but the *object* of your faith—Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8 WEB).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who longs for greater faith and trust in You. Lord, You are the God who parts seas, who feeds multitudes with a few loaves, who raises the dead to life—there is nothing too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17 WEB). We ask that You would remove every trace of fear and doubt from their heart, replacing it with a deep, unshakable confidence in Your goodness and sovereignty. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who testifies with our spirit that we are Your children (Romans 8:16 WEB), and let that truth anchor their soul in peace.
Father, when they are tempted to worry, remind them of Your faithfulness in times past. When the enemy whispers lies, let them hear Your voice above all else, declaring, *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* (Isaiah 41:10 WEB). Teach them to cast their cares upon You, for You sustain them and will never let the righteous fall (Psalm 55:22 WEB).
Strengthen their faith, Lord, as they spend time in Your Word and in prayer. Let them experience You in such a real way that their trust in You grows deeper each day. May they walk in the assurance that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace. And when the storms come, let them stand firm, knowing that You are in the boat with them, commanding even the winds and waves to obey (Mark 4:39 WEB).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and unbelief in Jesus’ name. We declare that our brother/sister will walk in victory, for *"this is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith."* (1 John 5:4 WEB). May their life be a testimony of Your faithfulness, drawing others to You.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to step out in faith, even when it feels difficult. Obedience often precedes the fullness of faith—like Peter stepping out of the boat onto the water (Matthew 14:29 WEB). As you take those steps, you will see God’s hand moving in ways you never imagined. Keep a journal of His faithfulness, so that when doubt arises, you can look back and say, *"The Lord has been good."* Stay connected to a community of believers who can pray with you and speak truth over you. And always, always bring your requests to God with thanksgiving, for He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28 WEB).
You are not alone in this journey. We are standing with you, believing that God is increasing your faith even now. *"Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the Assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen."* (Ephesians 3:20-21 WEB).
