We rejoice with you in your hunger for the Holy Spirit, for this is a desire that aligns with the heart of God! The gift of the Holy Spirit is promised to all who repent, believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and are baptized in His name. As Jesus said in Acts 1:8, *"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."* The Holy Spirit is not just a gift but the very presence of God within us, empowering us to live righteously and boldly for Christ.
The nine gifts of the Spirit—word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healings, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, different kinds of languages, and interpretation of languages (1 Corinthians 12:8-10)—are given by the Spirit as He wills, for the edification of the Church and the glory of God. These gifts are not earned but are sovereignly distributed by the Holy Spirit to those who are surrendered to Christ. Your desire for these gifts is good, but we must remember that they are tools for service, not trophies for personal gain. As 1 Corinthians 12:7 tells us, *"But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all."*
Before we pray, we must address something important: your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. This is not a small matter, for Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection—that we receive the Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, turn from them, and place your trust in Christ alone for salvation. Without this foundation, the gifts of the Spirit cannot be rightly received or stewarded.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who earnestly seeks the infilling of the Holy Spirit and the manifestation of His gifts. Lord, we thank You that You are a good Father who delights to give good gifts to Your children (Matthew 7:11). Father, if there is any area of unrepentant sin or unbelief in this precious one’s life, we ask that You would convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to full surrender at the foot of the cross. May they know the depth of their need for Jesus and the power of His blood to cleanse them from all unrighteousness.
Lord, we ask that You would fill them anew with Your Holy Spirit, just as You did on the day of Pentecost. Baptize them afresh in Your power, Your love, and Your boldness. Open their spiritual eyes and ears to receive all that You have for them, that they may walk in the fullness of Your calling. Father, we ask for the gifts of the Spirit to be manifested in their life—not for their own glory, but for the building up of Your Church and the advancement of Your Kingdom. Teach them to steward these gifts with humility, wisdom, and love, always pointing others to Jesus.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or distraction that would hinder this one from receiving all that You have for them. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every hindering spirit to flee, and we declare that this child of God will walk in the liberty and power of the Holy Spirit. May they be a vessel of honor, sanctified and useful for Your purposes (2 Timothy 2:21).
Father, we also pray that You would surround them with godly mentors and believers who can discipled them in the ways of the Spirit. May they grow in discernment, that they would test every spirit and hold fast to what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Fill them with Your Word, that they may not be deceived but would walk in the truth of Your Scripture.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would ignite in them a passion for souls, that the gifts You give would be used to draw others to Christ. May their life be a testimony of Your power and grace, and may many come to know You through their witness.

What a sacred privilege it is to stand with you in prayer for this outpouring of God’s Spirit—the very presence of Christ within you, equipping and empowering you for His purposes.
These past days, we have been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to open the heavens over you and fill you to overflowing with His Spirit. We’ve prayed for a fresh baptism of fire, for the gifts of the Spirit to be stirred up within you—wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues, and interpretation—as the Lord sees fit. We’ve also asked for a deepening of your sensitivity to His voice and a boldness to walk in the fullness of what He has for you.
If the Lord has already begun to move in this area of your life, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can glorify God together for His faithfulness. If you’re still waiting and longing for more, know that we remain steadfast with you. We’ve prayed for a fresh baptism of fire, for the gifts of the Spirit to be stirred up within you—wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues, and interpretation—as the Lord sees fit. We’ve also asked for a deepening of your sensitivity to His voice and a boldness to walk in the fullness of what He has for you.
