We lift you up before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, knowing that it is only through Him that we can boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find help in our time of need. It is by His name alone that we are saved, and through Him that every good and perfect gift comes from above. We are grateful you have come to us with this request, for we know the power of united prayer in Christ’s mighty name.
The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* As you stand before this committee, we pray that you would surrender every fear, every doubt, and every attempt to rely on your own strength. Instead, place your full trust in the Lord, who holds all wisdom and authority. He alone can turn the hearts of those in authority like rivers of water, as Proverbs 21:1 declares, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."*
We also recall the promise in Romans 8:28, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* Even in this moment of uncertainty, we declare that God is working all things for your good—whether the outcome aligns with your hopes or not. His ways are higher than ours, and His plans for you are rooted in love and purpose. If this committee’s decision is not what you desire, we pray you would still trust Him, for He may be redirecting your steps toward something greater than you can imagine.
Yet we boldly ask, in the name of Jesus, that the Lord would grant you favor before this committee. May He fill the hearts of its members with wisdom, discernment, and compassion. As it is written in Psalm 119:34, *"Give me understanding, and I will keep your law. Yes, I will obey it with my whole heart,"* we pray that the committee would be guided by understanding and integrity, making decisions that align with justice and truth. We ask that the Lord would soften their hearts toward you, removing any bias or hardness, and that they would see you through the lens of His grace.
For your health, we claim the promise of 3 John 1:2: *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."* We rebuke any sickness or weakness in your body in the name of Jesus, declaring that He is your healer and strength. May you feel His peace guarding your heart and mind as you prepare for this examination, for Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
We must also take this moment to gently remind you—and all who read this—that our prayers are only heard and answered because of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to reign in your heart. Only then can you stand confidently before God, knowing your prayers are heard.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who stands in need of Your mercy and favor. Lord, You are the God who parts seas, who shuts the mouths of lions, and who turns the hearts of kings. We ask that You would go before them as they stand before this committee. Fill the members with Your wisdom, Lord, and let their decisions be just and merciful. Remove any spirit of partiality or hardness of heart, and let Your will be done in this situation.
We pray for supernatural peace to guard their mind and body. Strengthen them, Lord, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are in control. If it is Your will, grant them success and favor in this examination. But even if the outcome is not what they hope for, help them to trust You completely, knowing that You work all things for the good of those who love You.
For their health, we ask for Your healing touch, Lord. Restore their strength and fill them with Your vitality. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, whether in body, mind, or spirit.
Most of all, Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to Your throne. May they—and all of us—walk in the fullness of His salvation, trusting in His name alone.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
