It’s in seasons like this that the book of Job keeps coming to mind. Behind the scenes of Job’s life, something was going on that he couldn’t see. God was not punishing him, even though everything was stripped away. His friends were convinced Job must have done something wrong to suffer so much, and they kept urging him to just get right with God so things would turn around. But Job’s pain wasn’t proof of God’s distance or anger. The real story was one of God’s trust in Job, a test that would deepen his faith and eventually bring restoration in ways none of them anticipated.
Your lack of interviews isn’t a sign that God has turned away or that you’ve missed some secret formula. The Scriptures remind us that even the most upright people can walk through times of confusion without a clear reason. Job himself cried out for a mediator, someone who could lay a hand on both God and man and bridge the gap. That cry is answered for us in Jesus, who knows our needs, intercedes for us, and walks with us through every uncertainty.
