Tired and need a holiday

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I haven't been to the seaside for seven years, nor have I had a holiday for two years. I miss the sea and travelling a little. Please pray in Jesus name that God provides me with an opportunity to rest somewhere else (near the sea or in the mountains). You can also pray for inner rest if you wish, but if you really want to pray with me, then pray for travel.Thank you!

We hear your weariness and longing for rest, and we join you in bringing this request before our Heavenly Father in the powerful name of Jesus. The Scriptures remind us in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." You are not forgotten in your exhaustion, and God sees your desire for renewal.

We also recognize the beauty of creation, the sea, the mountains, as gifts from God to refresh our souls. Psalm 23:2-3 says, "He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul." Father, we ask that You would open a door for this dear one to experience physical rest in a place that brings peace, whether by the sea or in the quiet of the mountains. Provide the opportunity, the means, and the time to step away from the demands of life and simply be restored.

Lord, we also pray for inner rest, peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7), even as we ask for the blessing of travel. May this time away not only refresh the body but also renew the spirit, drawing them closer to You. We trust in Your provision, knowing that You care deeply for Your children and delight in giving good gifts (Matthew 7:11).

We rebuke any spirit of weariness or discouragement that would try to convince you that rest is out of reach. God is your Provider, and He is faithful. Hold fast to His promises, and remain open to the ways He may choose to answer this prayer, whether through unexpected opportunities, the generosity of others, or even a change in circumstances.

In Jesus’ name, we declare that rest is coming. May your heart be lightened even now as you wait in expectation, and may the Lord guide your steps to the place of refreshment He has prepared for you. Amen.

### years without the sea, ### without a proper holiday, that wears on a soul. The longing for salt air, a mountain view, or simply being somewhere else isn’t trivial. God made us with bodies that need rest and eyes that need beauty, and He knows the particular ache of missing a place that feels like home.

Rather than just waiting for an opportunity to appear, we’d encourage you to take one small, concrete step this week: look at a calendar, pick a possible window of time, and start naming what would actually need to happen, days off, a modest budget, a simple destination. Bring that plan before the Lord as you pray, not as a demand, but as a way of opening your hands and letting Him direct the details. Sometimes the very act of planning, in partnership with God, loosens the tightness we carry.

We’re praying with you that God opens a door for travel, yes, for a genuine break near the sea or in the mountains, for the logistics to fall into place in ways that surprise you, and for the rest to go deeper than just a change of scenery. May He lead you to the right spot at the right time, and may you feel His kindness in every wave or ridge you see.

Lord Jesus, you know how tired this person is and how long they’ve gone without a refreshing getaway. We ask you to make a way where there doesn’t seem to be one yet, provide the time, the resources, and the perfect place for them to rest. Guard them from discouragement while they wait, and in the meantime, give them small tastes of your peace that hold their heart steady. Thank you that you are not indifferent to our need for renewal. Amen.

Your longing for the sea and the mountains speaks of a spirit worn by toil, for it is in our mortal nature that we must have change, else the heart grows stagnant and far from rest. The ark itself grated upon Ararat after the flood, and Noah surely rejoiced; even so, a sight of the waves or the hills is a mercy for a weary frame. Yet the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot until she came back to the ark, nor will you, until you come back to Christ. I will pray, as you ask, that the Lord opens a door for travel, that you may breathe the sea air or wander among the mountains. But I beseech you, first, by a simple act of faith, come to Jesus now. He says, "I will give you rest", rest for your entire being, not laziness, but rest that refreshes you for further labour. Trust in Him, and you shall find that inner quiet which no scenery can bestow. Then, if the Master grants you bodily repose, receive it with thanksgiving, and let it strengthen you for service. May the Lord Himself be your rest, and if it pleases Him, come over the dividing mountains to meet your longing spirit, giving you a season of sweet refreshment by shore or crag.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You yearn for the sight of the sea, the mountain air, a respite from weariness, and that is no sin. God stretched out the heavens, kindled the sun, and poured forth the sea not only for our need but for our joy and refreshment. Yet take heed: earthly rest, however sweet, is but a fleeting dream. Those who chase after such pleasures often find that even in the midst of fountains of mirth, bitter darts spring up. The body needs care, a little wine for the stomach’s sake, a season of quiet, but do not make provision for the flesh to inflame wanton desires. Seek health, not luxury; restoration, not escape.

The rest you truly need is that which remains for the people of God. David spoke of green pastures and still waters, but these are a shadow of the place where sorrow and sighing flee away. If you have traveled to the seaside yet carry a restless heart, you have gained little. Labor, then, to enter that heavenly rest, lest you fall through unbelief like those who perished in the wilderness. I will pray that God, in His mercy, opens a door for your body to be refreshed by His creation, but I pray far more earnestly that your soul find its repose in Christ. The still waters He gives are not bound by distance; they spring up within you by the Spirit, even now.

Fix your hope not on a journey of miles, but on the pilgrimage of faith. The same Hand that appoints the moon her seasons and feeds the birds will provide what is needful for your earthly frame. But do not weary the Lord with demands for signs and travels, when the greater miracle of inner rest is offered daily. “Come unto me, all ye that labor,” He says, not “to the shore” or “to the hills.” Take His yoke, and you will find rest for your soul, whether by the sea or in the heart of the city. That is the holiday that never ends.
