I’m going through extreme hardship right now. There’s none around to help I can’t overcome third it’s been going on for too long the point that my body is so worn down from the constan stress that iit won’t hold up much longer under the consultant strain of humiliation degradation and cruelty. A physical emotional abuse I’m not fkojgbtonirepend that I’m full of faith and joy when I just want to walk away from this faith. Trusting but being abused in return

We hear the depth of your exhaustion and pain and we are grieving with you over this long season of hardship, humiliation, degradation and cruelty. You have said you are worn down in body and spirit from constant stress, that there is no one around to help, and that you feel you cannot go on much longer and even want to walk away from the faith. We want you to know you are not unseen and you are not alone, even when it feels that way. God sees every tear and every wound and He is near to you right now.

The Lord does not ask you to pretend you are full of faith and joy when you are broken. He invites your honest cry. Psalm 61:2 says When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Jesus Himself says in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And 2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

We must also speak plainly about the abuse you have described. Physical and emotional abuse, humiliation, degradation and cruelty are sin and are not from God and are not what He desires for you. The Lord does not abuse those who trust Him. People may return trust with cruelty, but God never does. He is faithful, compassionate and just, and He hates oppression and violence. It is not God’s will for you to remain isolated under constant strain without help. We urge you in love to reach out for safe and practical help as soon as possible, to a trusted pastor, a mature Christian believer, a counselor, a doctor for your physical exhaustion, and if you are in danger to contact local authorities or a trusted family member. If you are feeling that you want to die or that your body will not hold up, please do not stay alone with those thoughts. You are precious to God and your life has value and purpose. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Please let someone near you know how deeply you are struggling so they can stand with you in person.

We hear that you want to walk away from the faith because trusting has led to being abused in return. We understand that weariness can make faith feel like another burden, but we encourage you not to confuse the cruelty of people with the character of God. People may fail and wound, but Jesus was Himself despised and oppressed and He understands your humiliation and pain, and He will not betray your trust. Walking away from Him will not bring relief, for only He can give true rest and deliverance. We also noticed you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find salvation and help. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ honestly as you are, broken and tired, and ask Him to save you, forgive you, and carry you.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the long hardship, the constant stress, the humiliation and cruelty that has worn down body and soul. We ask You to draw near as the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. Give rest to the weary, strength to the exhausted, and healing to the brokenhearted. Protect from further physical and emotional harm and make a way of safety and surround this precious life with godly, trustworthy help. Expose and rebuke every act of abuse and cruelty, and bring conviction and justice according to Your righteousness. Lift the heavy burden and renew strength, for Isaiah 40:29 says You give power to the weak and You increase the strength of him who has no might. Restore hope where there is despair and remind this heart that You will never leave nor forsake. Help this one to be honest with You, to pour out the pain without pretending, and to find grace sufficient for this day. Lead to safe people, wise counsel, and medical care, and keep this life from harm. We pray for a renewed faith not in people but in Jesus Christ alone, who is faithful and true. Save, sustain, and hold fast this one in Your hands. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and salvation. Amen.

God is not distant or indifferent to human agony. By coming to Earth as Jesus Christ, God the Son experienced poverty, rejection, extreme physical torture, and isolation firsthand. Because of the cross, humanity is praying to a God who intimately understands what it means to hurt

Your cry has reached us in your weariness, and we have heard the heaviness of your words. You speak of a body worn down by constant stress, of humiliation and degradation and cruelty, of physical and emotional abuse that has gone on too long, of feeling alone with none to help, and of faith itself feeling too heavy to carry. To be trusting and to receive abuse in return is a bitter trial, and to feel that you would walk away from faith is not a strange thing for a tried soul to feel. The Lord sees and knows all that you have suffered.

Know this, that our Lord Jesus Christ is no stranger to the valley of humiliation. Being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself unto death, even the death of the cross. He knows what it is to be despised and rejected, and faith is born at the cross. When the cross is visible, doubt becomes harder than faith. He who suffered so is able to sympathize with you now, and to be your refuge.

You say you are not full of faith and joy. Hear then what the Scripture teaches, that even little faith is true faith. Little faith is born from above and belongs to the family of the saved. The least faith in Jesus is the gift of God, and though it be but as a grain of mustard seed, it is precious in His sight. It is not the strength of your faith that saves you, but the strength of Christ to whom your faith looks. Cling to Christ and say to Him with holy boldness, I will not let You go except You bless me. Faith holds on to Christ, and Christ delights in that faith, for faith glorifies Him and gives Him a hearty welcome.

You fear you cannot hold on. The promise of God is that the righteous shall hold on his way, not by your own power, but because He who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. This perseverance is the work of God. You have a life from Christ which is immortal and eternal, and His word is sure, they shall never perish. The fear of God is kept alive in the heart by hearing His Word, and faith comes by hearing. Be diligent then to hear the Word, even when you can only hear a little, and take up above all the shield of faith, which is able to quench the fiery darts of the wicked. This faith overcomes the world.

Yet hear me also in this, that the Lord does not call you to abide under cruelty and abuse as though it were His will for you. Such treatment is evil and wrong before God. Perseverance in holiness is not perseverance under the hands of those who harm you. You should not bear this alone, and you should not remain without help. I urge you, for the sake of your body and soul which are precious to God, to seek safe and godly help without delay. Go to a trusted pastor, a mature believer, a counselor, or a medical helper who can know your situation face to face, and if you are in danger, seek protection from those appointed to protect. Let faithful people near you know the full weight of what you carry, that they may help bear the burden and help you to be safe.

You have said you want to walk away from this faith. I pray you will instead walk further into it, even with trembling steps. Bring to Christ exactly what you have, your weariness, your wounding, your little faith, and ask Him to keep you. He is charmed and carried away by the faith that looks to Him alone, even through tears.

O Lord, look upon this weary and afflicted one, worn in body and grieved in soul, humiliated and cruelly treated. Thou who didst humble Thyself for us, have mercy and draw near. Give protection where there is danger, give help where there is none, give rest to the body and healing to the heart. Strengthen little faith and keep it from failing. Hold fast this soul whom Thou hast loved, and let not this precious faith perish, but cause it to hold on its way and to wax stronger. Lead to safe helpers and open a way of deliverance, and let this one know that Thou wilt not leave nor forsake. In the name of Jesus Christ our hope, Amen.
