Tired and more tired. Almost done

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hi. I’m tired. I applied for aid for rent arrears and a month ago and found out that two case workers colluded to attribute the property management’s unauthorized arrears amount TO my name. The property management tried to get me to sign an unauthorized document to cover their fraud and get me into trouble . I have no food in the house and have been physically and emotionally abuse to the point where my health has deteriorated. I was pushed out of my job of over two decades. So whether I stayed in the job or left each scenario caused physical health challenges. Yes I did reach ourdor help i applied for public assistance and have zero income now and can’t find another job. The doctors report says that I may not make due to a recently discovered blood disorder. So. I don’t have hope anymore if you find it in your heats to let for me I would appreciate it but please I don’t want a-lot of modern catchphrases because it just seems too common

We have read your request and we hear how weary and burdened you are. You have carried so much at once, an unjust accusation over rent arrears, pressure to sign a dishonest document, hunger with no food in the house, physical and emotional abuse, the loss of work you held for over two decades, zero income while waiting for aid, and now a frightening report from doctors about a blood disorder. It is understandable that you feel tired upon tired and without hope, and we are standing with you before the Lord in this.

We want you to know that God sees what has been done in secret and He does not overlook injustice. A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but accurate weights are his delight. Proverbs 11:1. The Lord has said to seek justice, relieve the oppressed. Isaiah 1:17. We rebuke the collusion and fraud you described and the abuse that has harmed your health. Those things are evil in the sight of God. You were right not to sign a false document to cover that wrongdoing, and we commend you for refusing to take part in dishonesty even when it has cost you dearly.

The Lord also sees your exhaustion and your hunger and your health. He is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. Jesus said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. We cling to the promise that my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. And we remember the word, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently share this because it is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. We encourage you to call upon Him, to confess your need for Him, to trust that His death and resurrection has made a way for you to be forgiven and to be brought near to God, not only for this life but for eternity. He is our hope when we feel we have none left.

We lift you up together in prayer.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the weight of these many burdens, the weariness in body and spirit, the hunger, the injustice over the arrears and the false record, the loss of work and income, and the fear that has come with the report about the blood disorder. Lord, we ask You to be near as the One who is close to the brokenhearted. Grant rest to one who is tired and more tired. Provide daily bread where there is no food in the house. Open doors for honest aid and for provision, and for work that is fitting and sustaining if it is Your will. Expose what is false and bring justice concerning the property management and the case workers, and protect this one from further harm and pressure to do wrong. Lay Your healing hand upon this body that has suffered abuse and illness, and give wisdom to the doctors who are caring for this blood disorder. We ask You to restore strength and health according to Your mercy, and above all to restore hope. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. Help this one to know Your presence, to trust Your goodness, and to call upon the name of Jesus for salvation and for every need. Let Your peace that passes understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and our redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek help where you can, to let a local Bible believing church know of your need for food and for advocacy, to keep copies of all documents and to seek lawful aid or legal help regarding the arrears and the attempt to have you sign what was not true. We also encourage you to keep close to medical care and to let those around you know how deeply you are struggling so you are not alone in this. We are continuing to pray for your provision, your protection, your health, and that the Lord will lift up your head and renew your hope in Him. Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us that it is of the Lord's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.

We read your note and hear how worn down you are. Facing rent aid tangled up with an amount you did not authorize, being pressured to sign something that did not seem right, having no food at home, carrying the hurt of how you have been treated, and losing work you held for more than twenty years would leave anyone exhausted. Then to get difficult news about a blood disorder on top of it, it makes sense you feel low on hope. Thank you for telling us plainly and for letting us pray for you in a straightforward way.

You took a steady step in applying for public assistance while carrying all of this. That took effort when you had little left to give.

With no food in the house and health concerns weighing on you, we encourage you to stay in close contact with your medical team about what they are finding, alongside prayer, so they can walk with you on next steps. If you have a trusted person, a pastor, family member or community advocate, it can help to have them with you when you follow up about the rent paperwork, so you are not facing that pressure alone and there is a clear record of what was presented to you. A local food pantry, church food ministry or county services office can often help quickly with food while benefits are pending.

Father, we bring our friend before You in Jesus name. You see the tiredness, the hunger, the loss of work and the worry about health. Provide for daily needs, give wisdom for the housing paperwork and the job search, and show Your care in tangible ways. Give strength for today and a sense of being held and not forgotten. Amen.

Your cry of tiredness and more tiredness has been heard, and it is not a light thing to be pressed down on every side by fraud and want and sickness and the cruelty of others. To have no food in the house, to have the strength bitten with hunger, to be wronged by those who should have dealt justly with you in the matter of your dwelling, to be pushed out after long years of labour and now to have no income and no open door for work, to feel the body failing under abuse and under a disorder of the blood which the physician speaks of with so grave a voice, this is a heavy burden indeed. The Lord sees how you have been wearied whether you stayed or whether you left, and how hope itself seems now to have grown faint.

There is One who knows this poverty to the full. Though He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor. It was poverty with an emphasis laid upon it, for He who was God the Infinite veiled Himself in flesh and was laid where there was no room for Him, and lived as a poor man at Nazareth and knew hunger and thirst and weariness and the want of a place to lay His head. He was poor in condition and in reputation and in all His earthly walk, and He restricted Himself to suffering and loss when He had power to deliver Himself, and this He did voluntarily for sinners. He was devoured with hunger in the midst of plenty that is this world, yet He did so that you through His poverty might be rich. Your poverty, your hunger, your being wronged and cast aside are not hidden from Him who was despised and rejected and who bore our griefs.

You have said you have no hope anymore. Hear then what the Lord Jesus has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. There is a hunger which brings pain, and you know that pain in the body, but there is also a hunger of the soul which God Himself creates, a hunger not for gold or for land or for the praise of men, but for righteousness, for mercy, for Christ Himself. A man in this hunger finds he cannot feed upon himself, he cannot eat his own heart nor satisfy himself from within. He must have food from outside or he shall die. That food is Christ. He looks not for riches or fullness or virtue in us, but for poverty and emptiness and sinfulness, for He came to seek and to save that which was lost. If you hunger after Him, though you hunger you are blessed, and the promise is you shall be filled, and being filled you shall still hunger, and still be blessed in that holy hungering.

We will pray for you as you have asked, and not with common and empty phrases but with plain entreaty to the living God.

O Lord our God, look upon this weary one who has no strength left and no bread in the house and no income and whose body is afflicted. Thou knowest the fraud that has been practiced and the injustice of those who have colluded to lay a false burden upon this sufferer. Judge Thou with righteousness and make the truth to be known. Provide Thou daily bread as Thou didst of old, and open a door for honest labour or for such help as is needful. Lay Thy healing hand upon the blood and upon all the infirmity that has come through long sorrow and abuse, and if it be Thy will restore health, and if not, give grace to endure and to look to Christ who shed His own blood for the remission of sins. Grant repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone is salvation, and give a hunger and thirst after His righteousness which Thou hast promised to fill. Keep this soul from sinking under the heaviness of poverty and sickness, and let the riches which come through Christ's poverty be enjoyed even now, peace with God, forgiveness, and the presence of Him who will never leave nor forsake His own. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Take your emptiness and your hunger to Him who became poor for you. He will not despise the cry of the poor and needy who look to Him alone.
