Tingling and burning in face

Hi, I have a ### with ### due to a ###. I used to have ### in my ###. It went away for years. Today it came back. Please pray it's not a ###, as the symptoms are what they used to be. In Jesus's name. Amen.

We hear your concern and stand with you in prayer as you face these troubling symptoms. Physical afflictions can bring great anxiety, especially when they return after a time of relief. We know the Lord is near to those who call upon Him in truth, and we lift you up before His throne of grace.

First, we want to encourage you to seek the Lord’s peace in this moment. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that His peace would settle over you as you wait for clarity and healing.

We also recognize the importance of seeking wise medical counsel. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." If you have not already done so, we encourage you to consult with a trusted healthcare professional to address these symptoms. The Lord often works through the hands and knowledge of those He has equipped to care for our physical needs.

Now, we come together in prayer for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one before You, knowing that You are the Great Physician and the God who heals. You see the tingling and burning they are experiencing, and You know the fear that accompanies it. We ask, Lord, that You would bring comfort to their heart and clarity to their mind. If this is a recurrence of a past issue, we pray for Your healing touch to restore them fully. If it is something new, we ask for wisdom and discernment for the doctors and professionals who will care for them.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear that may be trying to take hold. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that fear has no place in this situation and that Your perfect love would cast it out. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We also pray for strength and patience as they wait for answers. May they trust in Your timing and lean not on their own understanding, but acknowledge You in all their ways, knowing that You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Give them the grace to rest in You, even in the midst of uncertainty.

Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears our prayers and answers them according to Your will. We trust You with this situation, believing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in this dear one’s life, and may Your name be glorified through it all.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to meditate on His promises. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." The Lord is your healer, and we stand with you in faith, believing that He is at work even now. If there is any unconfessed sin in your life, we encourage you to bring it before the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Sin can sometimes manifest in physical ways, and it is important to ensure that our hearts are right before God.

Lastly, we want to remind you that you are not alone. The body of Christ is here to support and uplift you in prayer. If you have a local church or fellowship, we encourage you to reach out to them as well, so they may stand with you in this time. The Lord often uses His people to be His hands and feet, and there is strength in community.

We can only imagine what it’s like to feel that old symptom flare up again after so many years. That kind of return can bring a flood of fear, and it’s understandable that your mind jumped to what it was before. You’re not alone in this today, we’re holding you before God right now.

While we pray, it also seems wise to let your doctor know what’s happening, just so someone with medical skill can check everything out. That doesn’t mean we’re doubting God’s care; it’s simply one way He often provides clarity and peace of mind. In the meantime, we stand with you, asking Him to guard your health and calm your heart.

Lord Jesus, our friend is worried about this tingling and burning that returned today. We ask that You would quiet the fear and bring a clear answer. If there’s a physical issue, give the doctors wisdom to identify it quickly and provide the right help. We especially pray that it is not the serious condition they fear. Please let the symptoms fade and not progress. Until they know, steady their mind with Your presence, and remind them You have held them through every hard day before this. We trust You with whatever comes, and we ask for peace that passes understanding right now. In Your name, amen.

The tingling and burning you now feel is not unknown to your Lord. Look away from the fear of what it might be, and look full into the face of Him who is the Sun of Righteousness, risen with healing in His wings. Even the leaves of that blessed tree are for healing, the least touch of Christ can quiet these fiery sensations and restore the calm. “Fear not, for I will help thee,” saith the Lord to the poor worm Jacob. Why should you fear? It dishonors the Almighty to dread that the arm which upholds the universe should be shortened in your hour of need.

Calvary provides the healing balm, not the lancet; our great Physician delights to bind up and to soothe. Pray now, not with a trembling lip but with bold faith, committing every nerve and sinew into the hand that was pierced for you. May a sense of His pardoning love flood your heart, for often forgiveness and healing walk hand in hand. Lay this malady at His feet, trusting that whether it be a passing shadow or a deeper trial, His grace is sufficient. The same power that changed the face of the palsied man from despair to peace can lift this burning from you and replace it with His blessed composure. Fear not, only believe.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The fire you feel in your face is a messenger, a thorn permitted by God to stir your soul to prayer and to trust. Do not let your mind race ahead to old fears; rather, stand still and consider: the Lord who healed you before is not weakened now. The symptoms return, but His mercy is new every morning. Let this tingling be for you what the thorn was for Paul, a goad to cling more tightly to Christ, whose grace is sufficient for you, whose strength is made perfect in weakness. Do not gaze so intently on the flame of bodily pain that you forget the unquenchable fire of His love, a fire that enlightens and does not consume those who take refuge in Him. The evil one sows anxiety like thorns to choke the word of faith, but you have already spoken that word in Jesus’s name.

Consider Ananias, trembling at the thought of Saul, yet obedient when the Lord said, "He is a chosen vessel." Your body, too, is a vessel, one that has already borne the mark of healing. Do not fear that it will crack under this renewed trial. The Lord who commanded the waves and rebuked the fever knows the number of your days and the measure of your affliction. You pray in Jesus’s name; therefore cast this burning sensation upon Him, for He cares for you. Let your petition be a flood that drowns the sparks of fear, not a whisper that fans them into flame. The symptoms you describe are common to many ailments, most of them passing shadows. But even if the shadow lengthens, recall that the body’s pains are light and momentary compared to the eternal weight of glory. Do not let the dread of a diagnosis become a prison; Christ has burst the gates of every prison. Commend yourself to the Great Physician, and then rest, for you are not your own, you were bought with a price. The fire on your face will either fade or be transformed into a crown, for nothing befalls the beloved of God without His leave, and His leave is always love.
