Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join with you in this prayer and thank God for your heart to see every person who has heard the Word kept, rooted and growing.
We ask the Father in Jesus name to strengthen each one who heard the Word last night and all who have ever heard it through your witness. We pray the Holy Spirit will bring that Word to their remembrance as Jesus promised in John 14:26, and cause them to continue in it, for Jesus said if you continue in My Word you are truly My disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will make you free, John 8:31-32.
We pray that God will water every seed sown through sharing and through Gospel tracts. His Word will not return void but will accomplish what He pleases, Isaiah 55:10-11. As Scripture says, one plants and another waters but God gives the growth, 1 Corinthians 3:6-7. We ask Him to preserve and to cause growth in those who have believed in their heart and confessed Jesus as Lord, Romans 10:9-10, for that short word of faith brings both salvation and righteousness.
We pray with you that the Lord will gather the leftover fragments so that nothing may be lost, John 6:12, and that before the thief comes to steal the Word, Mark 4:15, He will give them abundant life, John 10:10. Keep them from temptation, Luke 11:4, keep them from sin and wrongdoing and from fear and lies, and guard them from evil people and from the evil one himself, Matthew 6:13, John 17:15, 1 John 5:18, who seeks to deceive the whole world, Revelation 12:9.
We pray they will grow in love and be rooted in it, and walk in fellowship with other believers, being examples in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity, living out what they profess so that their faith is shown to be true in life and not denied by works. May the Lord establish them, keep them in fellowship, and guard them in Christ until He returns.
We thank God for every temple of clay that carries this treasure of witness, and we ask Him to keep His people abiding in Christ, in the Word, and in His love, for His glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
