We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words as you pour out your heart about this so-called friend who has turned their back on you. It is a heavy burden to carry when someone we trust betrays or abandons us, especially when injustice seems to go unchecked. We stand with you in this struggle, lifting it all to the Lord, who sees every hurt, every wrong, and every unrepented sin.
First, we must address the anger and desire for vengeance in your words. Scripture tells us in Romans 12:19, *"Dearly beloved, don’t avenge yourselves, but rather give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* It is not our place to declare that someone "cannot come back a second time," for the Lord is merciful and desires that all come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Even in our pain, we must leave room for God’s justice and His ability to soften hearts. Let us not harden our own hearts in the process, for bitterness only poisons the soul.
We rebuke the spirit of unforgiveness and the desire for retaliation in Jesus’ name. Instead, we choose to forgive as Christ forgave us, even when it feels impossible. Ephesians 4:31-32 reminds us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Forgiveness does not mean excusing their actions or pretending the hurt didn’t happen—it means releasing them into God’s hands and trusting Him to handle it.
We also lift up your need for rest and peace in the midst of this storm. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* You do not have to carry this weight alone. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even when the world feels chaotic, He offers a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this pain of betrayal and injustice. Lord, we ask that You would convict the heart of this person who has turned away. Soften their heart, open their eyes to their wrongdoing, and draw them to repentance. We release them into Your hands, trusting that You will deal with them justly. Forgive us, Father, for any bitterness or desire for vengeance in our own hearts. Cleanse us and fill us with Your love and grace.
Lord, we pray for rest for this weary soul. In the midst of the pain, be their comfort and strength. Surround them with Your peace, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Renew their strength and give them hope for the future.
Father, we also ask that You would protect them from further harm. Shield their heart and mind from the lies of the enemy, and fill them with Your truth. Let them find solace in Your presence and in the fellowship of believers who can uplift and encourage them.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who bore our sins and our sorrows on the cross. It is only through His name that we have access to You, and it is only by His blood that we are forgiven and made new. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
We encourage you to cling to the Lord in this season. Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with godly community who can pray with you and remind you of God’s faithfulness. And remember, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted—He has not abandoned you, even when others have. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, for He is your hope and your salvation.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
