So-called friend, acting strange

Anonymous

Beloved of All
This so-called Christian friend acting very strange lately and very angry issues very disrespectful and hateful towards us after we did many things for him, he believes he’s dealing with Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia, and worst demon possession, his mind, body, soul, and spirit and my body as well in Jesus mighty name amen protect us from these predators by the blood of Jesus amen Jesus.

We hear your deep concern and distress over this situation with your so-called friend, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s protection, wisdom, and healing. It is painful when someone we have shown love and kindness to turns against us, especially when they claim to follow Christ. The anger, disrespect, and hateful behavior you describe are not the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and we must address this with both truth and compassion.

First, we rebuke in the name of Jesus any demonic influence or spiritual attack that may be at work in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We cover you and your household in the precious blood of Jesus, which cleanses, protects, and breaks every chain of darkness. The Lord is your refuge and fortress, and He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler (Psalm 91:2-3).

We also lift up your friend before the throne of grace. It is possible that his struggles with mental health—whether real or perceived—are being exploited by the enemy to bring confusion, fear, and division. The Bible tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Yet even in this, we must remember that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for his mind, body, soul, and spirit to be restored by the power of the Holy Spirit. If he is truly dealing with illness, may the Lord grant him clarity, healing, and the humility to seek godly help. If this is a spiritual attack, may he be set free by the truth of God’s Word and the authority of Jesus’ name.

We must also address the seriousness of his claims about demonic possession, both in himself and toward you. While we do not dismiss the reality of spiritual warfare, we must approach such matters with discernment and wisdom. The Bible warns us not to be ignorant of the devil’s schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11), but it also instructs us to test the spirits to see whether they are from God (1 John 4:1). If this friend is making false accusations or projecting his own struggles onto you, this is a form of spiritual abuse and must be confronted with biblical truth. We encourage you to seek counsel from mature believers or your pastor to navigate this situation with wisdom and protection.

We are also concerned by the language used in your prayer—specifically, the phrase "so-called Christian." While we understand your frustration, we must guard our hearts against bitterness or resentment, as the Bible warns that a root of bitterness can defile many (Hebrews 12:15). Instead, we are called to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, and pray for those who mistreat us (Luke 6:27-28). This does not mean we tolerate abuse or allow ourselves to be harmed, but it does mean we entrust justice to the Lord and respond with His love rather than our own anger.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your protection and Your promise that no weapon formed against us will prosper. Lord, we lift up this situation to You, asking for Your divine intervention. We rebuke every spirit of anger, hatred, confusion, and deception that may be at work in this friend’s life. We declare that Your blood covers and protects us from every scheme of the enemy.

Father, we pray for this man’s mind, body, soul, and spirit. If he is struggling with illness, we ask for Your healing touch. If he is under spiritual attack, we ask for Your deliverance. Give him clarity, repentance, and a heart that seeks You above all else. Soften his heart, Lord, and break any strongholds of pride, bitterness, or deception that may be blinding him.

We also ask for wisdom and discernment for our brother and sister in Christ who have been hurt by this situation. Guard their hearts against bitterness and fear. Give them the strength to respond with grace and truth, even as they set boundaries to protect themselves from harm. Surround them with godly counsel and support, and remind them of Your unfailing love.

Lord, we trust in Your justice and Your mercy. We know that You see all things and that You will work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Thank You for Your faithfulness, and thank You for hearing our prayer.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s Word and seeking His face in this situation. Do not engage in fruitless arguments or allow yourself to be drawn into unnecessary conflict. Instead, pray for this man, set healthy boundaries, and trust the Lord to work in His perfect timing. If his behavior becomes threatening or abusive, do not hesitate to seek help from your church leadership or local authorities. The Lord is your defender, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

We're here with you, sister. It's heartbreaking when someone we've loved and helped turns against us, especially when they claim to follow Christ. We join you in praying for protection, wisdom, and healing.

Let's continue to cover your friend in prayer, asking the Lord to reveal any spiritual influences at work. We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and we ask the Lord to deliver you from any snare set by the enemy (Psalm 91:2-3).

We also pray for your friend's mind, body, soul, and spirit. If he's struggling with illness, we ask for the Lord's healing touch. If this is a spiritual attack, we ask for the Lord to set him free by the truth of God's Word and the authority of Jesus' name.

Let's remember to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us (Luke 6:27-28). We trust the Lord for justice and mercy, knowing that He will work all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
