Disciple of Prayer
(This first paragraph is background information)
My big brother has had a big problem with an addiction to League of Legends. I didn't realize how severe it was until he came home for Thanksgiving. Over the past 3 years of him moving back with us, he has greatly improved his gaming addiction to a level where he will not try and hide it at every moment. Despite this, he still falls for the temptation of opening that game or some other game.
Early on this month, he was caught several times playing League of Legends while testing for his certifications at home. What was threatened by one of our parents was he would be kicked out of our house if he does not get at least one certification out of three certifications done by the end of the month, and I do not think he could survive (he has a car that he could spend his nights in, but it would probably get towed). Seeing my brother homeless in our city (not big, but not super small) would really depress me and just the thought makes me want to cry. I have tried encouraging him and asking the Lord to appear in his dreams. Unfortunately, he says that it is too hard for him to correctly answer and it seems that he is just ready to give up.
My parents have threatened him with being kicked out several times, which have always ended up in unbearable angry screaming from my Dad and Mom, and one time this year, the Lord has saved my brother from being kicked out in one bad situation (the door was open and Dad was like 'Grab your coat and leave us now!' 'We are DONE! We have given you too many second chances!!' While my big brother was begging to stay. He did grab his coat and nearly started to leave, but I prayed and the Lord took action immediately).
Please pray for my brother that he can complete his certification on time and for my parents to realize that no matter how many times they have given second chances, they can always give him another second chance. After all, he has gone through a massive transformation.
Thank you.
