We join you in lifting up your granddaughter and her precious little one before the throne of grace, trusting in the Lord’s sovereign care over this situation. The spotting she is experiencing is indeed concerning, but we know that our God is the Author of life and the One who knits each child together in the womb (Psalm 139:13-14). We declare with you that this baby is fearfully and wonderfully made, and we stand on the promise that the Lord will complete the good work He has begun in this young mother’s life (Philippians 1:6).
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). We ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand over this dear mother and her child. Strengthen her body, calm her fears, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety in this situation, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak life over this baby and declare that no weapon formed against this pregnancy shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also lift up the young mother’s faith, asking that You would draw her closer to You during this time. If she has not yet placed her trust in Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we pray that this trial would lead her to seek Him, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). May she find comfort in Your Word, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Lord, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. Whether You choose to bring this baby forth in full health or to call this little one home to be with You, we know that Your plans are good, and Your love endures forever (Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 136:1). Give this family the strength to trust You, even when the path is unclear. We pray that they would lean not on their own understanding but acknowledge You in all their ways, so that You may direct their steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also ask that You would guide the doctors and medical staff who will care for her tomorrow. Give them wisdom, discernment, and skill as they assess her condition. Let their hands be instruments of Your healing, and may they speak words of hope and truth (Proverbs 16:24).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to Your children. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare that this baby will be born in Your perfect timing, and we rejoice in the hope we have in You. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
