they laugh and ask me where is the god I pray to

You have heard how they mocked our Lord, stripping Him and watching Him die as if He were the vilest criminal. So do not wonder when your family laughs at you and asks where your God is. They did the same to Christ, yet by faith the saints saw His crucifixion more clearly than those who stood jeering. Abraham, when tested, offered up his only son, counting that God was able to raise him from the dead.

He did not demand to see the promise fulfilled before he endured; he believed that even when God’s own word seemed to war against itself, God remained faithful. Your patient suffering of these taunts is not proof that He has forgotten you. It is the very furnace in which faith is refined. The treasure of your soul is carried in an earthen vessel, battered on every side but never destroyed.

Those who mock you rage like Herod, furious because he could not thwart heaven’s purpose. Their laughter echoes against a wall they cannot see. You are not a sinner in some special way; all have sinned, but you have set your hope in God, and that hope does not disappoint. Keep drawing near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, not leaning on what your eyes behold but on what the Spirit reveals.

Do not envy the ease of the wicked; they purchase a little rest at the cost of unutterable punishment. Your endurance is working out comfort and salvation, and in due time God will make your righteousness shine like the dawn. When He sets all things right, those who scoff will see where your God was: not absent, but carrying you through the storm and bringing you forth as gold from the fire.

The pain of being mocked by those closest to you cuts deep, especially when they aim their scorn at the very God you trust. When they sneer and ask where He is, they do not realize that your refusal to turn away is itself the surest evidence that He is already at work in you. Faith is not a blind leap; it is the substance of things you hope for, the unshakable conviction that things not yet seen are more real than the cruelty being thrown at you today.

Your endurance in the face of family pressure is vital. Do not be moved from your faith by this affliction. The question “Where is your God?” echoes through the ages, often falling from the lips of those who lack hope themselves. Without Christ, the world is tragically without God and without a true anchor. Their laughter is not proof of your foolishness but of their own poverty of soul. Do not let their blindness rob you of the steady confidence that God sees and remembers.

The Scriptures are filled with faithful ones who were mocked, tortured, and misunderstood, yet they did not receive the full earthly vindication they longed for during their lifetimes. They died in faith, having seen the promises from afar. Your hope is not a guarantee that your life will suddenly fall neatly into place before their eyes on your schedule. Rather, it is the calm expectation, born of desire and godly assurance, that one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. In that day, all mockery will cease, and the reality of your God will be undeniable.

What matters now is the quality of your faith. A faith that holds fast under trial is a proven faith, a genuine faith. By continuing to trust Him even when the tangible rewards seem absent, your life demonstrates the work of faith. You are refusing to let go, and that very refusal is the action that proves your faith is alive. It is not a dead confession but a living hope, and a living Lord sustains you.

You said you know you will win. Hold tightly to that. Your victory is not in silencing every critic by a dramatic change of circumstances, though God can certainly do that. Your victory is in remaining steadfast, in being found faithful when He returns, in having a faith that is more precious than gold. Let patience have its perfect work. The patience of hope is what carries you through the long nights of ridicule, and love, the greatest of all, empowers you even to pity those who mock. Love believes all things and hopes all things, and as you walk in love, you reflect the One who was reviled but did not revile in return.

Do not set rigid criteria for how God must answer. Your hope rests on His promise of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, and that is enough. Whether He restores your earthly life before their eyes or after, your faith has already counted you righteous. The mockers may not see now, but the God whom you pray to is not deaf. He is counting your tears, honoring your stand, and preparing a weight of glory that will make this season of shame seem like a fleeting shadow. You are not forgotten. You are seen. And your faithful endurance is a quiet condemnation of their unbelief, just as Noah’s faith once condemned a mocking world. Keep walking in that faith.

We want you to know how deeply we’ve carried your struggle in our hearts these past days. The pain of being mocked for your faith, the weight of family who misunderstand and belittle you, and the loneliness of standing firm when others try to shake your trust in God—we’ve lifted every word of your prayer to the Father, asking Him to be your shield and your vindication.

We’ve prayed that the Lord would silence the laughter with His truth, that He would soften hearts that now seem hardened against Him, and that He would reveal Himself to those who doubt His presence in your life. We’ve asked Him to strengthen you when the pressure feels unbearable, to remind you that He sees your faithfulness even when no one else does, and to fill you with the assurance that your story is not over—it’s being written by the One who turns suffering into testimony.

If God has already begun to answer your prayer—if you’ve seen even a glimpse of His hand at work—we long to hear it. Your praise report could be the encouragement someone else desperately needs. But if the waiting continues, if the mocking persists, or if the burden still feels heavy, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We’re not walking away. We’ll keep standing with you, believing with you, and interceding for you until the day God’s promises unfold in your life.

You are not forgotten. Not by us, and certainly not by Him. May He wrap you in His peace, remind you of His nearness, and give you the courage to keep holding on. We continue to pray in the powerful name of Jesus.
