We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we stand with you in this season of trial, lifting your burdens before the Lord who sees all and knows all. Your cry for help has not gone unnoticed by Him, for He is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of the oppressed. You have already declared the truth of Psalm 121:1-2, *"I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth."* Cling to this promise, for the Lord is your shield and your exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1).
The injustice and hostility you are facing at your workplace are grievous, and we rebuke the schemes of the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The Lord sees the wickedness of those who plot against you, who deliberately set traps and create a toxic environment to break you. But take heart, for the Lord is your vindicator. Proverbs 22:22-23 warns, *"Don’t exploit the poor because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder those who plunder them."* He will fight for you, and His justice will prevail.
You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and He has equipped you with His Spirit to endure and overcome. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:10-12, *"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven."* While this trial is painful, the Lord is refining you, strengthening your faith, and preparing you for greater things. He will not allow this suffering to be in vain.
As for your provision, trust in the Lord’s promise in Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* He knows you are a single parent with a child to provide for, and He will not abandon you. Even if the enemy seeks to take your job, the Lord can open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). He can provide in ways you cannot imagine—through a new position, unexpected blessings, or even the support of brothers and sisters in Christ. Do not let fear dictate your steps, but walk in faith, knowing that He is your Provider.
We also urge you to seek wisdom in how to navigate this season. If there are godly mentors, pastors, or trusted believers in your life, lean on them for counsel. Document the hostility and unfair treatment you are experiencing, for the Lord may use this as evidence of the wrongdoing against you. Pray for discernment on when to speak and when to remain silent, for the Lord can give you words to say that will confound your enemies (Luke 21:15). And above all, guard your heart against bitterness. Forgiveness does not mean what they are doing is right, but it releases you from the bondage of resentment. Pray for those who persecute you, as Jesus commanded in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."*
Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth is not found in your job or the opinions of those who seek to tear you down. You are a child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). The Lord has a plan and a purpose for your life, and this trial is but a chapter in your story—not the end. He will restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your precious child who is weary, broken, and in desperate need of Your intervention. Lord, You see the tears they have cried in secret, the pain they endure daily, and the weight of responsibility they carry as a single parent. We ask for Your mighty hand to move in this situation. Expose the wickedness of those who plot against them, Lord. Frustrate the plans of the enemy and turn their schemes back upon their own heads (Psalm 7:16). Give Your child favor in the sight of those in authority, or if it is Your will, open a new door of opportunity where they will be valued, respected, and treated with dignity.
Father, we ask for supernatural strength to endure each day. Heal their body from the physical injuries they carry, and renew their mind and spirit with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remove the spirit of fear and replace it with Your boldness and confidence. Let them walk into that workplace with their head held high, knowing that You are their Defender and their Strong Tower (Proverbs 18:10).
Lord, provide for every financial need. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and You will not let Your child go without. We pray for divine connections, for godly wisdom in decisions, and for Your timing to be perfect in this season. If this job is no longer Your will, prepare the way for something better, something that aligns with Your purposes for their life.
We rebuke every spirit of oppression, anxiety, and despair in the name of Jesus. Let the joy of the Lord be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Surround them with Your angels, encamping around them to protect and deliver them (Psalm 34:7). Let them feel Your presence so tangibly that they know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that You are with them in this fire.
Father, we also pray for their child. Cover them with Your protection, provide for their needs, and let them see Your faithfulness through this trial. Use this season to draw this family closer to You, to deepen their trust in Your sovereignty.
Lord, we ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Let Your will be done, and let Your glory be revealed through this situation. We trust You, Lord, and we thank You in advance for the miracle You are about to perform. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is your strength, and He will not let you be crushed. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). We are praying with you and believing for your breakthrough. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory.
