We have heard your cry about feeling trapped and needing escape, and about jealousy surrounding your work in film acting, and we are joining together to seek God's will with you in Jesus' name.
We understand the pain of feeling trapped by the jealousy of others and the desire for deliverance. The Word tells us that jealousy is not from God and brings harm. For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed. James 3:16 and A tranquil heart is the life of the flesh, but jealousy is the rot of the bones. Proverbs 14:30 We want to gently rebuke the spirit of jealousy at work here, both in those who may be acting against you and any temptation in your own heart to respond with the same. God calls us to walk in love and humility, not in envy or strife. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying one another. Galatians 5:26
We also want to remind you that true escape and deliverance comes from the Lord, not from man. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 and The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17 He promises a way out of trials and temptations. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 If you and those you are concerned for feel trapped, call upon Him, for He says Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me. Psalm 50:15

The Lord has heard your cry concerning those who feel trapped and pressed on every side by the jealousy of others. To be shut up and to see no way of escape is a sore trial, and when the malice or envy of men hems you in, the heart is apt to faint.
Yet remember that troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction come by chance. The Lord Himself permits the furnace, and He sits as a Refiner at the door. Though the affliction may come distinctly from man, as the result of jealousy or persecution, it may still be under the hand of a Father who means to chasten and to prove you, and to make you disgusted with Egypt that you may long more for deliverance by His own hand.
There is a word for such a case, "Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom." Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it. He has not only invented the way, but He has found the ransom in His own Son, who has borne the penalty for His people. Deliverance from the power of darkness and from the pit is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. No true liberty comes but by that supernatural power which Christ alone can give. If you have felt that you can do nothing, you are in the place where Free Grace can do all.
You speak of jealousy in connection with your calling. Scripture tells us that jealousy is cruel as the grave and hard as the grave. It has no pity. It is a bitter thing to be the object of it, and it is a solemn thing to harbour it. Let us therefore moderate our anger against second causes, and look above them to the Lord, and let us also search our own hearts that no envy or vainglory may lodge there. He has taught many the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, and He delivers His people from the fascinating power of sin and from the power of darkness.
Do not seek escape by any back door which Satan may offer, or by any dishonest or hasty expedient. Wait upon the Lord, whose deliverance is by Divine power. When Israel came out of Egypt, it was Jehovah who brought forth His armies, and when any soul is saved from spiritual bondage, it is the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive.
Let us pray together for you and for those you love.
O gracious God, who art gracious unto the helpless and hast found a ransom, look upon these who feel themselves trapped. Your cry for help has been heard, and I have read your words about feeling trapped and pressed on every side by jealousy because of your work in acting.
Scripture teaches that jealousy and envy are bonds that hold the soul tightly. The boastful person is held by these things like a worm crawling in mire, always troubled, while the lowly and humble person is delivered from them. What you describe as being trapped is how this passion works. It does not come from the eye itself having power to harm, but from a heart that is depraved within and looks with envy upon the good given to another. Envy does not supply what is lacking, it seeks to tear down what is complete, and it brings turmoil to both the one who envies and the one who is envied.
There is a war that is always at hand, not against flesh and blood, but against desires such as envy and the love of praise. For that reason we are told to stand having girded ourselves and to be ever armed. The tongue and the eyes can be openings for this war, and the lust for recognition can keep the soul in constant unrest. True rest is not found where there is jealousy and strife, but where there is peace and calm, where there is no turmoil of soul, no wrath, and no sorrow, but only the gentle fear of God which is full of delight.
So I urge you to seek that freedom in Christ. Do not answer jealousy with jealousy, and do not let the desire for glory rule your heart. Choose the lowly path, walk in humility, and pray for those who look upon you with an evil eye, that God would heal their hearts as well as yours. Turn from parade and boasting, and set before yourself the table of blessings that is free from envy, which is found in prayer, in quiet faithfulness, and in doing your work honestly before God rather than for the praise of men.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is our salvation, look upon this soul who feels trapped and surrounded. Loose the bonds of jealousy and envy that press so heavily. Grant an escape according to Your will, make a way where there seems to be no way, and give calm and peace where there is turmoil. Deliver both the one who suffers and those who envy from this disease of the soul, and lead all into Your rest where pain and sighing flee away. God sees when His people are pressed and trapped. Scripture shows that times of pressure and jealousy and persecution do not destroy true faith. Instead they often purify it. They separate what is real from what is not, they cause faith to grow stronger, and they cause love for one another to abound. In the early church, when persecution scattered believers from Jerusalem throughout Judea and Samaria, God even used that scattering to spread the gospel further. What was meant for harm became a way for the message of Jesus to go out more widely. And when judgment comes, God will show His righteousness by defending those who have suffered for His name and by dealing justly with those who have caused the suffering.
There is also a deeper kind of freedom and bondage that the Bible speaks about. Many people talk about freedom as being free to do whatever they want, but that kind of freedom quickly becomes bondage. When a person gives himself over to jealousy, to lust, to anger, or to any controlling desire, he is no longer free. He is bound by the very thing he thought would make him free. The freedom that Jesus gives is different. It is the freedom not to have to do those destructive things. It is the freedom not to have to repay jealousy with jealousy, not to have to be driven by ambition or fear or the opinions of others. The apostle Paul wrote that all things may be lawful, but he would not be brought under the power of any of them, because he loved the freedom Christ had given him and wanted to guard it.
That is the freedom I am praying for you. That God would open the prison to those who are bound, as the prophet Isaiah said the Messiah would do when the Spirit of the Lord is upon Him. That He would loose the trap that jealousy has set around you, and that He would keep you from being brought under the power of jealousy yourself, whether the jealousy of others toward you or any bitterness growing in your own heart.
I am praying that the Lord Jesus will make a way of escape where there seems to be no way, that He will protect you and those you are concerned for, and that He will guard your heart in His peace. I am praying that He will use this difficult time to deepen your trust in Him, to strengthen your faith, and to fill you with His love so that you can respond with grace even to those who act against you out of jealousy. Ask Him to show you how to walk in the freedom He gives, not using freedom as a cover for sin, but living in a way that honors Him and keeps you free from being controlled by any sin.

If you have not already, put your full trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. He alone can set the captive free and give the power to live a new life. Bring your fear and your need for escape to Him daily, ask Him for wisdom for each step, and trust that He is present with you in this trap and able to deliver you in His perfect way and time.

We have continued to lift up this request before the Lord, asking in Jesus Name that He would bring deliverance to those who feel trapped and that He would break the hold of jealousy surrounding film acting that you mentioned. We pray in Jesus Name for freedom, for peace, and for protection over all involved, and that the Lord would replace jealousy and strife with grace and understanding. We are reminded that Psalm 34:17 says the righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them, He delivers them from all their troubles, and that Psalm 107:14 says He brings them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and breaks away their chains.
