Beloved of All
Your message has been heard and your needs have been brought before the Lord with care. You shared that you are very afraid, that your leg is broken, that you have HIV, and that you feel trapped, and it is right to bring all of these burdens honestly to God.
Scripture often meets fear with the same gentle word. When Zacharias was troubled and fear fell upon him, the messenger from God said fear not, for your prayer has been heard. He had prayed for years for a son and had not given up, and God did not forget. When Mary was told of the wonderful work God would do through her, she also heard fear not, for she had found favor with God, and the son to be born would be called Jesus, which means the Lord is salvation. When shepherds were filled with fear at the glory of the Lord shining around them, they heard fear not, for there is good news of great joy which is for all people. After a long season when God seemed silent, His first word to His people was again fear not, and His promise was that the Sun of Righteousness would arise with healing in His wings. This tells us that God sees those who are low and afraid, that His mercy is on those who reverence Him, that He shows strength with His arm, scattering the proud and lifting up the humble.
God is able to become what you need in your affliction. If you need healing, He reveals Himself as the Lord our healer. That does not mean coming only for a cure, but coming to the Healer Himself, to Jesus who bore our sicknesses and who offers forgiveness and new life. The gospel, which means good tidings, is for all people who will believe, not only for a few, and it brings great joy because it announces salvation through Christ alone.
God also delivers us with a purpose, that being rescued from the hand of our enemies we might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness. Those two words speak of being made right before Him through Jesus, and living rightly before Him day by day. Even when your body is weak and your circumstances feel closed in, you can belong to Him and walk with Him in peace, without being ruled by fear.
We are praying for you now. We ask the Lord to comfort your heart and take away overwhelming fear, to be near to you in your feeling of being trapped and to make a way for help and safety, to touch your broken leg and bring healing and proper care, to strengthen your body as you live with HIV and to guide those who can provide medical help for you, and above all to draw you close to Jesus, trusting Him as your salvation. If your brother has provided medicine, we thank God for any help that is truly good for you, and we pray that the Lord will give you wisdom and honest, safe care in all treatment.
Keep calling on Him persistently and simply, as one who keeps praying until the answer comes. He hears, He cares, and He is able to lift up those of low degree and to give mercy from generation to generation to those who fear Him. May you know His presence, His healing touch according to His perfect will, and His peace that casts out fear.
