We join you in lifting up this world in this time and in this place before the Lord, and we thank you for sharing this beautiful burden to pray for one another and for mothers and for a mother's sons.
We are reminded of how precious this calling is to intercede for each other, for it is a phenomenon ordained by God Himself and not merely of this moment. We are urged in Scripture, I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thank offerings be made for all men 1 Timothy 2:1, and also Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective James 5:16. We agree with you that in a world that feels so divided, the act of praying for one another is a powerful testimony of the love of Christ working among us.
We also lift up every mother and every son you have placed on your heart. God has a special care for mothers and families, for He is A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation Psalm 68:5. We pray for strength, comfort, and faith for each mother and for each of her sons, that they would know they are seen and upheld by El Elyon, God Most High, who is possessor of heaven and earth Genesis 14:19. There is no higher refuge than in Him, and we pray they would dwell under the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1.
We rejoice with you even through tears to hear that your dear loved one has gone to be with Jesus, with El Elyon. What a glorious hope we have, that to be absent from the body is to be at home with the Lord 2 Corinthians 5:8. Jesus Himself said, In my Father's house are many homes. If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you John 14:2. And we cling to the promise that He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more, neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more Revelation 21:4. We thank God for the assurance that those who have trusted in Jesus are now in His presence, beholding His glory.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, El Elyon, God Most High, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can come to You and be saved Acts 4:12. We thank You for this burden to pray for this world and for this time and place in which You have planted us. Stir our hearts to continue in prayer for one another without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17. We lift up every mother and every son mentioned, cover them with Your grace, draw them close to Your Son Jesus, and let them know Your peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Comfort all who mourn the departure of our dear loved one who is now with Jesus, fill their hearts with hope and not despair, and remind them that our separation is only for a little while. Help us all to live in light of eternity, to pray fervently, to love deeply, and to proclaim the hope we have in Christ. We ask all these things according to Your perfect will in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
