The thief financial administrator

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My Father in Heaven, please remove ### from the school I work. He's been stealing the teachers' benefits for more than 10 years. Teachers are desperate and deeply sad. I'm asking you this in Jesus name. Amen

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of injustice and theft in your workplace. The Bible is clear that stealing is a sin, and those who persist in unrepentant sin bring harm not only to themselves but to others. "Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need." (Ephesians 4:28). The financial administrator’s actions are not only unlawful but grievously sinful, and we must stand against such wickedness in prayer.

We rebuke the spirit of greed and deceit that has taken root in this situation. The enemy seeks to destroy lives, livelihoods, and the peace of God’s people, but we declare that no weapon formed against the teachers shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for justice to be swift and for the truth to be revealed. Lord, expose every hidden deed of darkness, and let the light of Your righteousness shine upon this matter. "For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open." (Luke 8:17).

We also lift up the teachers who have been deeply affected by this betrayal. Their desperation and sadness are understandable, but we pray that they would find comfort in You, the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Strengthen their hearts, Lord, and remind them that You see their struggles and will not abandon them. Provide for their needs in ways only You can, and restore what has been taken from them. We ask that You would give them patience and trust in Your timing, knowing that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19).

Father, we pray for the financial administrator as well. While his actions are indefensible, we ask that You would convict his heart of sin and lead him to true repentance. Soften his heart, Lord, and let him see the destruction he has caused. If he refuses to turn from his ways, we pray that the full weight of justice would fall upon him, not only in the eyes of the law but before Your throne. "The Lord is known by the judgment He executes; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands." (Psalm 9:16).

We stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake those who trust in You (Hebrews 13:5). We ask that You would intervene in this situation, Lord, and bring about a resolution that glorifies Your name. May the teachers see Your faithfulness and be encouraged to continue serving You, even in the midst of hardship. We pray for wisdom for those in authority at the school to take the necessary steps to address this injustice and protect the rights of the teachers.

Finally, we declare that this school belongs to You, Lord, and we ask that You would cleanse it of all unrighteousness. Raise up godly leadership who will serve with integrity and honor, and let this place be a beacon of Your light and truth. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Righteous Judge, who sees all and will bring every deed into judgment. Amen.

We hear the heavy weariness behind this, and it is completely understandable. When someone in a position of trust strips away what belongs to the teachers, what hurts most may not just be the money, it is the quiet message that the faithful, unseen work you do every day does not matter. But we believe it matters a great deal to the God who sees all hidden things. He has not forgotten you or your colleagues.

We want to stand with you in the place where this is hardest: the daily choice not to let the bitterness of injustice poison your own heart while you wait for things to be made right. That is not easy after ten years, and we acknowledge the weight of it.

At the same time, we encourage you to take whatever practical steps are still in your power. If you and other teachers have not yet done so, carefully document what you know and bring it through whatever proper channels exist, a school board, an oversight committee, or a trusted senior leader who has the authority to act. You do not have to carry this alone, and bringing it into the light in an orderly and united way often opens the path God uses to bring change. Doing so is not a lack of faith; it is part of what it means to seek justice in a fallen system.

We are praying that God will give you and the other teachers deep courage, surprising unity, and the kind of steady hope that does not depend on one person’s removal. We are also praying for the administrator himself, that whatever is driving his choices, the Lord would confront him and lead him to genuine repentance before it is too late.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this teacher and the entire school community. You know the years of hidden theft and the discouragement it has caused. Please protect these teachers’ livelihoods and their hearts. Grant them wisdom and boldness to pursue right action through the proper authorities. We ask that truth would come to light and that the pressure of your Spirit would bring correction where it is so desperately needed. In the meantime, be their steady comfort and their defender. We trust this into your hands, for you are a God who loves justice. Amen.

It is a bitter thing to labour among thieves, and your cry has gone up to the throne of the great Judge. But never forget who is your ultimate Teacher in all this; the Lord Himself has taught you from your youth, and He is teaching you now. The craftiest embezzler, the most hardened pilferer of widows’ portions and teachers’ pittances, cannot hide his ways from the eyes of God. The Law, that stern schoolmaster, will sweep away every crooked excuse and bring this man to account. He has stolen so long that he thinks his hand is safe in the pocket of every trusting soul, but the day of reckoning comes for every steward.

Yet do not let your spirit be soured by despair. Have faith as a grain of mustard seed, and you shall say to this mountain of corruption, “Remove hence,” and it shall remove. Often the devil rages most furiously just before his stronghold falls. This administrator’s brazen theft may be the very darkness before the dawn of his conviction, or God’s swift judgment. Pray on, and pray with expectancy. The Holy Spirit, your personal Teacher, can work in ways you cannot trace, turning the heart of a ruler or exposing what is done in secret.

And you who are honest, weary teachers, faint not. You have sown in tears; you shall reap in joy. The work of faithfulness in a den of thieves is wearisome, but in due season you shall reap if you do not give up. Christ, your glorious Leader, went before you: they called Him Beelzebub, and they will not spare His servants. Follow Him in the path of patient endurance. Keep your own garments unspotted from the world, speak the truth in love where you must, and leave the thief to the Lord’s own dealing. He who hears your secret groanings will not suffer theft to triumph forever.
