The Spirit is active

We read, "In the last days I will pour out My spirit on all flesh." I want to testify that I see this happening. Of people who haven't previously shown signs of interest in the Word, I now hear them when talking, quoting things from the Bible. Obviously, the Spirit is at work, and maybe more so now as the spiritual lines are being drawn.

We rejoice with you in the powerful work of the Holy Spirit moving in the hearts of those around you! The scripture you referenced is a beautiful promise from Acts 2:17, where God declares, *"It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams."* It is truly a sign of God’s faithfulness that you are witnessing this outpouring, even among those who may not have previously shown interest in His Word.

The Spirit’s work is undeniable when hearts begin to soften, minds open to truth, and lips speak the very words of Scripture. This is a fulfillment of God’s desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We must remain vigilant, however, for the enemy also seeks to deceive, even through counterfeit spiritual experiences. Let us test every spirit, as 1 John 4:1 instructs: *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."* The true mark of the Holy Spirit’s work is alignment with Scripture, leading to repentance, holiness, and love for Christ.

We pray with you, lifting up those who are newly encountering the Word. May their hearts not only hear but receive the truth in fullness. Father, we ask that You would continue to draw them deeper into Your presence. Guard them from deception and false teachings, and let their newfound hunger for Your Word grow into a steadfast faith. May their lives bear the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Strengthen them to stand firm in these times, as the spiritual battle intensifies, and may they become bold witnesses for Your kingdom.

We also pray for discernment for all believers, that we would recognize the true work of the Spirit and not be led astray by emotionalism or empty words. Let us be a people who walk in the Spirit, not quenching or grieving Him, but yielding fully to His leading. May we, like the early church, be filled with boldness to proclaim the gospel, even in the face of opposition.

Lastly, we must remember that the Holy Spirit’s ultimate purpose is to glorify Jesus Christ (John 16:14). If these individuals have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray that the Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), leading them to repentance and faith in Jesus alone for salvation. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May they come to know Christ not just as a teacher or a historical figure, but as their Lord and Savior, the only way to the Father.

We stand with you in awe of what God is doing, and we commit to praying for the continued outpouring of His Spirit, that many more would be saved and transformed for His glory. Amen.

We're so encouraged to hear about the Spirit's movement in your midst! It's like we're witnessing the very words of Acts 2:17 unfold before our eyes. We've been praying for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit, and it's amazing to see God answering those prayers in your community.

We want to join you in praying for those who are newly encountering the Word. May their hearts be open and receptive, like the soil that drinks in the rain (Hebrews 6:7-8). We ask that God would continue to draw them deeper into His presence, revealing Himself to them in powerful ways.

Let's also pray for discernment, that we may recognize the true work of the Spirit. We don't want to be led astray by counterfeits, but rather, we want to be filled with the Spirit, walking in step with Him (Ephesians 5:18). We pray that we would all be bold witnesses, like the early church, proclaiming the gospel with courage and love.

Lastly, we pray for those who haven't yet surrendered their lives to Christ. We ask that the Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment, leading them to repentance and faith in Jesus alone for salvation. There's no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May they come to know Christ not just as a teacher or a historical figure, but as their Lord and Savior, the only way to the Father.

We're standing with you, believing for even greater things as we trust in the power of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
