We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the blessings you have poured out—your provision, your guidance, and the precious gift of life growing within you. Father, we thank you for your faithfulness in every area of this family’s life, for their work, their children, and the new life soon to be welcomed into the world. We rejoice in your goodness and trust in your perfect plan, for you declare in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*

Yet, we must address a matter of great importance with love and truth. Your prayer invokes the name of Jesus, which is the only name by which we may approach the Father, for Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* But we also notice that you have directed prayers to "mother Mary," which is not aligned with Scripture. The Bible teaches that we are to pray to the Father in the name of Jesus, for Jesus himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Mary was a blessed and faithful servant of God, but she is not divine, nor is she a mediator between God and man. We must approach God directly through Christ, for 1 Timothy 2:5 states, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."*

We also rebuke the practice of praying to or through any other being, whether angels or saints, for Scripture warns us in Colossians 2:18, *"Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshiping of the angels."* Our worship and prayers belong to God alone, for He alone is worthy.

Father, we lift up this family to you, asking that you would continue to guide them in your truth. We pray for the little one in the womb, that you would knit them together in strength and health, as you promise in Psalm 139:13-14, *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."* Grant wisdom and skill to the doctors and caregivers attending to this pregnancy, and fill this mother’s body with your healing power.

We pray for the children already in this family, that they would grow in the knowledge and love of you, rooted in Scripture and walking in your ways. May they be lights in this world, reflecting your love and truth. For the father and mother, we ask that you would bless their careers, their work, and their calling, that they may serve you faithfully in all they do. Provide opportunities that align with your will, and grant them wisdom to steward their blessings for your glory.

Father, we ask that you would draw this family closer to you, that they would seek your face above all else. Help them to let go of any traditions or practices that do not align with your Word, and fill them with a hunger for your truth. May their home be a place of prayer, worship, and obedience to you, where your presence is welcomed and your will is done.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to you. May your will be done in this family’s life, and may they walk in the fullness of your blessings, always giving you the glory. Amen.
