🐑 The Shepherd's Voice -- Leading, Wisdom, Guidance & Peace of The Holy Spirit, Jn 10:27, Rom 8:14, Col 1:9, Jam 1:5, Heb 11:6, Isa 55:12, Phil 4:6-

🙇🏻 Dear Lord Jesus in Heaven, Thank You Your sheep hear Your voice, John 10:27, and will never follow a stranger, John 10:5. We NEED to hear Your voice of direction -- It is written, "as many as are LED by the HOLY SPIRIT are the children of God," Rom 8:14. We ask to be FILLED with the knowledge of Your Will in all spiritual wisdom so we can walk worthy, Col 1:9-10. We ask for generous amounts of practical WISDOM, James 1:5, we cry out for wisdom and lift our voice for UNDERSTANDING, Prov 2:6-7. So with confidence we seek YOU for YOU are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You, Heb 11:6.

🙇🏻 Thank You for Your life here of 33 years and ALL you accomplished for us and taught us in Your ministry of 3+ years -- First for the emptying of Yourself of privileges and agreeing with The Father to be conceived by Holy Spirit overshadowing Your mother and Your very lowly birth in the manger, to the shepherds, magi, temple, Your hidden years, humbling Yourself to get baptized by the prominent historical figure, JOHN THE BAPTIST, followed especially by the action-packed 3+ years of ministry: teachings, miracles, loaves, fish, nets of fish, resurrections, anti-extreme weather advocate, blind eyes, lame walking, poor hearing the gospel -- the prophecies, living in community with the disciples just "doing life" from Your perspective (reality), putting up with our unbelief, the distortions of the Pharisees and Sadducees, their constant watching You, attempts to trap and trick You -- literally, like WOW -- and finally Your betrayal, rejection and letting Barabbas loose instead... All the self-restraint You showed, the suffering, unjustly in my and our stead and sacrificial death -- taking it all without opening Your mouth as a lamb led to the shearers, led to the slaughter on the cross for my and our sins, shame, sickness, Isaiah 53:1-12... Your burial, resurrection, appearing and teaching for 40 days, ascension, and sending forth The Holy Spirit on the day of First Fruits or Pentecost, our Counselor, Advocate, Intercessor, Unction to Preach w/ Conviction, and be The Bearer of good gifts, 1 Cor 12:4-8, in distributing Your inheritance through the Promise as divided among those in the Upper Room, Acts 2:1-3.

With thanksgiving we offer our requests for Your voice, leading and wisdom -- let "now" the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. Thank You for protecting us and praying for us, keeping us from the evil one, Rom 8:34, Heb 7:25, Jn 17:15. We shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace, Isa 55:12, thank You for everything, especially for hearing when we ask, for in hearing, we have, 1 John 5:14-15, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

We join you with thanksgiving for this beautiful cry to hear the Shepherd's voice and to be led by the Holy Spirit, and we agree together with you in Jesus' name for wisdom, guidance, and the peace that guards our hearts.

We love how you have anchored your prayer in the Word, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God. We are reminded that Jesus said in John 10:27, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, and in John 10:5, They will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they don't know the voice of strangers. This is our confidence, that as His children we can discern His leading and not be led astray. As it is written in Rom 8:14, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God, and that leading is never contrary to Scripture but confirms it. We also stand with you in Col 1:9, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord.

Your request for wisdom is pleasing to the Father, for James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, and Prov 2:6 reminds us, For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. We too lift our voice for understanding, trusting Heb 11:6, that without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. You are seeking Him diligently, and He delights to reward that seeking with His presence and direction.

We also give thanks with you for our Lord Jesus, who humbled Himself, was born in lowliness, lived perfectly, suffered and died as a lamb led to the slaughter for our sins and sicknesses, was buried and rose again, and now lives to intercede for us. Isaiah 53:5 says, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was on him, and with his stripes we are healed. And we rejoice that He ascended and poured out the Holy Spirit, our Counselor and Advocate, who distributes gifts as He wills and who bears witness with our spirit that we are His. We rest in the promise of Phil 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, and in Isa 55:12, For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. We also claim with you 1 John 5:14-15, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

We pray together now, Father, we thank You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, for You have given us Your Spirit to lead us and Your Word to light our path. We ask You to fill us anew with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to grant us generous wisdom liberally without reproach, and to cause us to hear Your voice clearly above every other voice. Guard our hearts and minds with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, keep us from the evil one as Jesus prayed in John 17:15, and let us walk in the joy of knowing we are interceded for by Christ who ever lives to make intercession for us in Heb 7:25 and Rom 8:34. Lead us forth with peace and establish our steps, that we may walk worthy of You, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of You. We ask this according to Your will, trusting You hear us, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide in the Word daily, for the Shepherd's voice is most clearly known through Scripture, confirmed by the Spirit, and accompanied by His peace. As you bring every decision before Him with thanksgiving, that peace will be an umpire in your heart, confirming His leading. Keep seeking, keep asking, keep knocking, for He is faithful to guide His sheep.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer. Your hunger to be led and to walk in a way that honors the Lord comes through so clearly, and we want to stand with you in that.

We love that you described the Spirit as Counselor and Helper. We have found He often guides quietly, not just in a sudden answer but through His truth grounding us, His fruit of peace steadying us, and His power helping us take the next faithful step. Learning to recognize His voice is often more process than event, grown in ordinary faithfulness.

One simple practice that helps many is to take one current decision or concern, bring it before the Lord in unhurried prayer and Scripture, and then invite one or two mature believers who know you to listen and pray with you. That mix of private seeking and community helps keep power, truth and love together. We are praying for joy on the road, even while you wait for clearer direction.

Father, thank You for drawing this heart to seek You. Fill them with Your wisdom and guard their heart with Your peace as they look to You. Make Your way clear step by step and help them sense Your nearness as they follow. In Jesus name, amen.

It is a good and right thing to desire above all else to hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and to be led by the Holy Spirit, for as it is written, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

Your prayer is according to the will of God, and we join with you in it. You ask for wisdom, and the promise stands sure that if any lack wisdom let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and upbraids not. You ask to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom, that you may walk worthy of the Lord, and this is a prayer He delights to answer, for He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Remember that the infinite God has thoughts of peace towards you. His thoughts toward His people are always thoughts of peace, for He is at peace with them through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. He seeks their peace, He creates their peace, He sustains their peace. And that peace is not found in following notions or inward impressions apart from His Word, but in hearing His voice where He has chosen to speak. The mere letter alone will kill, but when you put your ear down to the promises of Scripture till you hear God speaking through them to your soul, then the Word has power. It is a blessed thing to hear God's voice speaking in it with all the freshness and force as if it were uttered anew.

Take heed therefore how you hear. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Love His law, and great peace shall you have. By peace here is not meant that all strife around you will cease, but that there shall be great restfulness within even when strife rages. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is whispered within by the blood of Jesus, and it is enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life when the mind is stayed upon Christ and the will is brought to delight in God's will. Then the fangs of the serpent are extracted and the sorrow is sucked out of the sorrow by the lips of acquiescence.

So we pray with you that the Lord will grant you a hearing ear and an understanding heart, that you may not be deaf to good while quick to hear other voices, but that you may discern the Shepherd's voice and never follow a stranger. May He guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and may you go out with joy and be led forth with peace, kept from the evil one by Him who ever lives to make intercession for you.

We thank God that you seek Him with thanksgiving and supplication, and we trust that as you continue steadfast in His Word, abiding in Christ and keeping His commandments, He will make plain your path and establish your goings, for His promises are sure and His Word deserves most solemn hearing.
