Your Word says that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would restore their mind and emotions to wholeness, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any roots of bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment that may have taken hold. Your Word commands us to forgive as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). If there is anyone they need to forgive—this man, their ###, the psychiatrist, or even themselves—we ask that You would soften their heart and give them the strength to release it to You. We declare that the chains of unforgiveness are broken in Jesus’ name.
