We hear your distress and lift this heavy burden before the Lord, knowing that He sees every injustice and holds the hearts of all in His hands. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask that You intervene in this situation, for Your Word declares in Proverbs 21:1, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." Though this real estate agent is not a king, his heart is still under Your sovereign control. Move upon him to respond with urgency and compassion to the life-threatening conditions in this apartment.
Lord Jesus, we pray that You would soften this agent’s heart and open his eyes to the severity of the situation. May he not turn a blind eye to suffering but instead act with the integrity and responsibility that aligns with Your Word. We rebuke any spirit of neglect, indifference, or greed that may be influencing his actions, for Your Word warns in James 4:17, "To him therefore who knows to do good, and doesn’t do it, to him it is sin." Let him not be found guilty of withholding help when it is desperately needed.
We also lift up the one who is enduring these dangerous conditions. Father, be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Provide them with wisdom to know how to navigate this situation, whether it be through legal means, finding alternative housing, or trusting in Your provision. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, if it is Your will, we ask that You would raise up another Christian real estate agent or advocate who can assist with urgency and godly compassion. Surround this individual with people who will stand with them in truth and righteousness, for Your Word says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."
We also want to gently address the importance of placing our trust fully in You, Lord. While we pray for this agent to respond, we must remember that our ultimate hope is in You alone. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even in this trial, You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Father, we ask that You would bring justice and resolution to this situation. If there is any unrepentant sin in the heart of this agent or in the systems that allow such neglect, expose it and bring it to light. Let Your righteousness prevail, and may Your name be glorified in the outcome. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promises of protection and provision.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
