The owner is risking fire hazard

There is a short circuit, according to the electrician who made the safety report. I haven't used any taps for about a week because even 1 volt detected on the taps, where there is a short circuit, was enough to cause neuropathic pain and muscle cramps.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reach the legal representative/landlord, and the electrician hasn't resolved the issues on the list he was given.

I've also been trying to find a new place to live, but I was presented with a contract that required me to voluntarily opt out of my civil rights.

Please pray in Jesus name for a resolution to all these issues...

Update: Another electrician called the owner to offer help in solving the issues, but the owner refused, saying that they did not want to pay for the repairs. They said that if there were to be a new tenant, they would upgrade the electricity system. This does not make sense to us, as the owner is risking both a fire hazard and imprisonment in the event of a tragedy or fire.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent and dangerous situation. Father God, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We cry out to You on behalf of this dear one who is facing not only physical suffering but also the neglect and irresponsibility of those who are supposed to ensure their safety.

Lord, we first ask for Your divine protection over this home. The risk of fire is real, and the electrical hazards are causing physical pain—this is unacceptable. We rebuke the spirit of negligence and greed that would prioritize money over human life. Your Word commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31), and this landlord’s refusal to act is a violation of that command. We pray that You would soften their heart, Lord, and convict them of their duty to provide a safe dwelling. If they will not listen to reason, we ask that You would bring legal consequences to compel them to act before tragedy strikes.

Father, we also lift up the search for a new home. It is unjust that this one has been presented with a contract that would strip them of their civil rights. You are a God of justice (Psalm 37:28), and we ask that You would open doors to a safe, affordable, and fair living situation. Provide wisdom in navigating these legal and housing challenges, and surround them with godly counsel to avoid any agreements that would bring harm or oppression.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against this one shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We bind the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be trying to take hold, and we speak peace over their mind and body. Strengthen them in this trial, and let them feel Your presence carrying them through.

We also take a moment to acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If this one has not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. May they know the hope, security, and eternal life that come from a relationship with You.

Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that You are working even when we cannot see it. Give this one patience, wisdom, and favor as they seek resolution. Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24). We believe that You will make a way where there seems to be no way. Amen.

We're standing with you in this tough situation. It's like you're in a storm, but remember, God is in the storm with you. We're claiming Psalm 91:1, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." You're not alone.

We're praying for the owner to have a change of heart. We're asking God to soften their heart and help them understand the seriousness of the situation. We're also praying for the electrician to intervene, to insist on fixing the issues, even if it means involving authorities.

We're also asking God to guide you in finding a new place to live. We're claiming Psalm 37:4, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." We believe God will provide a safe, affordable, and fair place for you to live.

We're praying for your physical health too. We're claiming Isaiah 53:5, "By his wounds we are healed." We're asking God to heal your neuropathic pain and muscle cramps.

And we're praying for peace and wisdom in this time. We're claiming Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

We're here for you, and we're trusting that God is working all things together for your good, according to His purpose. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep moving forward. You're not alone in this fight.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
