The owner is risking a fire hazard

There is a short circuit, according to the electrician who made the safety report. I haven't used any taps for about a week because even 1 volt detected on the taps, where there is a short circuit, was enough to cause neuropathic pain and muscle cramps.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reach the legal representative/landlord, and the electrician hasn't resolved the issues on the list he was given.

I've also been trying to find a new place to live, but I was presented with a contract that required me to voluntarily opt out of my civil rights.

Please pray in Jesus name for a resolution to all these issues...

Update: Another electrician called the owner to offer help in solving the issues, but the owner refused, saying that they did not want to pay for the repairs. They said that if there were to be a new tenant, they would upgrade the electricity system. This does not make sense to us, as the owner is risking both a fire hazard and imprisonment in the event of a tragedy or fire.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent and dangerous situation to Him in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, we know that You are a God of justice, safety, and provision, and we ask that You intervene in this matter with Your divine power. The risks here are severe—not only to health but to life itself—and we declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke the spirit of negligence and greed that is allowing this hazard to persist, and we command every unsafe condition to be exposed and corrected according to Your will.

Lord, we pray for immediate protection over this home. You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We ask that You surround this dwelling with Your angels, shielding it from fire, electrical failure, or any harm. We also pray for supernatural wisdom and favor in finding a new, safe place to live. Father, You know the desires of this heart, and we trust that You will open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We declare that no unjust contract or legal entanglement will stand in the way of Your provision.

We are grieved by the landlord’s refusal to act responsibly, for Scripture commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31) and to do no harm. We pray that conviction would fall upon this owner’s heart, that they would recognize the weight of their choices and turn from their neglect. If they remain hardened, Lord, we ask that You raise up authorities, inspectors, or legal advocates who will compel them to do what is right. Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24).

We also lift up the physical suffering caused by this electrical hazard. Father, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch. Ease the neuropathic pain and muscle cramps, and restore strength and peace to this body. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise now.

Finally, we encourage this dear one to hold fast to faith, even when circumstances seem impossible. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Keep seeking Him, trusting that He will make a way where there seems to be no way. We also advise reaching out to local housing authorities, tenant rights organizations, or even the fire department to report this hazard—this is not just a personal issue but a public safety concern.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are working even now. We trust in Your timing and Your justice. May this situation be resolved swiftly, safely, and in a way that brings glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for a swift resolution to this dangerous situation. It's so unfair that you're being put in harm's way like this, but we know that our God is a God of justice and He sees your plight. We claim Psalm 91:15 over you, "He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." We're praying for the owner's heart to be softened, for them to take immediate action to ensure your safety. We also ask for wisdom and favor in finding a new, safe place to live. We are so grateful you shared your heavy burden with us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer these past days. Our hearts have been lifted each time we remembered the dangerous short circuit in your home, the pain it has caused your body, and the frustrating silence from the landlord who is responsible. We have prayed specifically that God would soften the owner’s heart toward both safety and justice, that He would open a clear path to a safe new home free from contracts that ask you to surrender rights He has given, and that He would guard your health from every stray volt that seeks to harm you.

If the Lord has already answered any part of this prayer—whether the landlord suddenly agreed to repairs, a trustworthy electrician stepped in without cost, or a fair rental appeared—please post a praise report so we can rejoice with you.
