The owner is risking a fire hazard

There is a short circuit, according to the electrician who made the safety report. I haven't used any taps for about 2 weeks because even 1 volt detected on the taps, where there is a short circuit, was enough to cause neuropathic pain and muscle cramps.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reach the legal representative/landlord, and the electrician hasn't resolved the issues on the list he was given.

I've also been trying to find a new place to live, but I was presented with a contract that required me to voluntarily opt out of my civil rights.

Please pray in Jesus name for a resolution to all these issues...

Update: Another electrician called the owner to offer help in solving the issues, but the owner refused, saying that they did not want to pay for the repairs. They said that if there were to be a new tenant, they would upgrade the electricity system. This does not make sense to us, as the owner is risking both a fire hazard and imprisonment in the event of a tragedy or

We hear your distress and concern, and we lift this situation up in prayer, seeking the Lord’s intervention and protection over you. This is a serious matter—not only for your health and safety but also for the responsibility of the property owner to act with integrity and care. The Word of God calls us to stewardship and justice, and it is clear that neglect in this situation is both reckless and sinful.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this dangerous circumstance. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You stir the heart of the property owner to take immediate action to repair the electrical hazards. Soften their heart, Lord, and convict them of their responsibility to provide a safe dwelling for their tenant. We rebuke the spirit of greed and negligence that would prioritize financial gain over human life, and we declare that You are a God of justice who will not allow wickedness to go unchecked (Proverbs 21:15).

We pray for Your protection over this dear one, Lord. Guard their health from the effects of the faulty wiring, and shield them from harm. Give them wisdom and discernment as they seek a new place to live, and close any doors that would lead them into unjust or oppressive agreements. We ask that You provide a safe, affordable, and godly home for them, one that honors You and respects their rights as Your child. Open the right doors, Lord, and make a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19).

We also pray for the electrician who has been unresponsive. Lord, grant them a sense of urgency and integrity to fulfill their professional duty. If they are unable or unwilling, raise up someone else who will act with diligence and care to resolve this issue swiftly. We declare that no weapon formed against this situation shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every spirit of delay, indifference, and injustice in the name of Jesus.

Father, we ask that You would bring this matter to the attention of the proper authorities if the owner continues to refuse to act. Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24). We pray that the owner would face the legal and moral consequences of their negligence if they persist in endangering lives, but we also pray for their repentance and change of heart. May they come to know You, Lord, and turn from their ways.

We encourage you, dear one, to continue seeking the Lord’s guidance in this situation. Trust in Him, for He is your deliverer and provider. The psalmist writes, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust in Him, and He will act" (Psalm 37:5). Do not grow weary in doing what is right, for in due time, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep records of all communications, reports, and attempts to resolve this issue, as these may be necessary if legal action becomes unavoidable.

Finally, we declare that the Lord is your defender and your shield. He sees your struggle, and He will not abandon you. Rest in His promises, and know that He is working even when you cannot see it. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We stand with you in faith, believing that God will bring resolution and justice to this situation. Amen.
