The Bible tells us in Romans 13:1, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." While this does not excuse irresponsible or negligent behavior, it does remind us that God establishes order and holds those in authority accountable. The owner’s avoidance is not only unwise but also contrary to the principles of stewardship and care that God calls us to uphold. Proverbs 28:1 warns, "The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion." May the Lord grant you boldness and favor as you seek resolution.
We must also address the spirit of unforgiveness or bitterness that can take root in situations like this. While it is right to seek justice, we are called to do so with a heart that trusts God to bring about His will. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We pray that you would have the strength to release any resentment and trust God to work in this situation.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, You see the injustice and the avoidance of responsibility that has taken place. We ask that You would intervene in power, softening the heart of the owner and compelling him to act with integrity and care. Protect this individual from harm, Lord, and provide a swift and just resolution to the electrical issue in the flat.
Father, we pray for wisdom and favor for Your child in this matter. Give them the words to speak and the courage to stand firm in seeking what is right. Guard their heart from bitterness, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your justice, knowing that You are a God who sees and acts on behalf of the oppressed.
We rebuke any spirit of avoidance or irresponsibility in the name of Jesus. May the owner be convicted of his duty to care for those under his authority, and may he be led to repentance and action. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and we stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake them.
