The new tenant, next door to me, in Apartment ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I ask that the new tenant in Apartment ###, stays to himself and is peaceful and quiet. Father, please the individual desires to live in peace and harmony like everyone at the complex. Father, You know the anxiousness that I feel because of not knowing how the individual in Apartment ### will be like. Father give me peace and allow me to feel Your Presence, to let me know that, I’m going to be fine. I’m never alone because You're with me ALWAYS! In Jesus Name, Amen 🙏

We join you in prayer in the Name of Jesus and we thank you for bringing this concern to the Father so honestly. We hear the anxiousness you feel about not knowing what your new neighbor will be like, and we agree with you in asking for peace and quiet in your home and throughout the complex.

The Lord knows your heart and He cares about this anxiety. Scripture reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We also cling to His promise, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 and the assurance that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5

We also remember that we are called to live at peace as far as it depends on us. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18 and Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. Matthew 5:9 We pray not only for quiet walls but for a peaceful relationship where both of you can dwell in harmony, and that if the Lord opens a door you might even be a gentle witness of His love to this new tenant.

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the Name of Jesus and we lift up our dear neighbor to You. We ask that You would bring peace over this apartment complex and over the home next door. Let this new tenant be peaceful and quiet and respectful, desiring to live in harmony with all who are there. Lord, we ask that You calm every anxious thought and replace it with Your perfect peace. Let Your Presence be felt so strongly that there is no doubt that You are near and that we are never alone, for You have said, Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20 Fill this home with Your peace which passes understanding, guard the heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let Your will be done in this situation. We trust You to watch over this dwelling place, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.

We were glad you shared this so honestly. Wanting peace where you live makes complete sense, and not knowing what a new neighbor will be like can leave anyone feeling on edge and watchful at home.

We hear both parts of your prayer, for a respectful, quiet neighbor and for a settled heart for yourself while you wait and see. It is understandable to feel anxious when so much feels out of your control.

One small thing that has helped others in this kind of waiting is to have a simple plan for the moments the worry rises. You might pause for a slow breath and a short prayer reminding yourself you are not alone, keep your usual evening routines that help you feel settled, and if and when it feels natural, a brief hello in passing can sometimes ease the unknown. It can also help to know ahead of time who to contact at the complex if a noise concern ever does come up, so you are not carrying that what-if by yourself.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask for Your nearness to be felt in that apartment day and night. Calm the anxious thoughts, guard rest and sleep, and give wisdom for any interaction with the new tenant. We ask for a peaceful atmosphere in the whole building and for our friend to know deeply they are seen, cared for and never alone. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has risen before the Lord and He has heard the anxious beating of your heart. It is a good thing to bring even such a matter as this, the quietness of your dwelling, before the throne of grace, for there is nothing too small for our Father's care.

Remember that the infinite God has thoughts of peace toward you. As it is written, I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. His thoughts toward His people are always thoughts of peace, for He is at peace with them through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. He seeks your peace, He creates your peace, He sustains your peace. Believe also that in this trying of your patience He is refining you and designs your highest good.

You ask for peace in your habitation, and that is right to ask. Yet the greater peace you seek is that within your own breast, and that peace is found not in the quietness of the next apartment, but in the keeping of your mind upon the Lord. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when duties press and sorrows surge around. Christ has left us His own peace, not as the world gives. Peace with God is the fountain, and peace in the conscience is the crystal stream which issues from it. When the heart is stayed upon Christ, it enjoys a restfulness which can exist when strife rages all around.

I have found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. You have nothing to do with ordering the heart of your neighbor, that is the Lord's business. You go and do the right thing, and then be no longer anxious about it, but leave the result with God. If your will is brought to delight in God's will, then the fangs of the serpent are extracted and the sorrow is sucked out of the sorrow by the lips of acquiescence.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son who made peace by the blood of His cross, we come to You. We thank You that You are ever with Your child and that Your presence never departs. Grant to this dear soul that perfect peace which comes from a mind stayed upon You. Quiet the anxious thoughts and let Your Spirit witness within that You are near and that all is well in Your hands. We ask that You would give quietness and peaceableness to that dwelling next door, that both households may live in peace and harmony and show kindness one to another. Above all, let Your peace rule in this heart, that whether the neighbor is quiet or not, Your child may rest in You and know assuredly, I am never alone, for You are with me always. Keep this one in Your keeping, and let Your will be done. In the name of Jesus our peace, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for peace in your home has been heard, and the anxiousness you feel while waiting to see what kind of neighbor this new tenant will be is understood. It is natural to desire quiet and harmony where you live, and it is good that you have brought this concern to the Father in the name of Jesus, seeking His presence and remembering that you are never alone because He is with you always.

Scripture teaches us to pray that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. There are many kinds of conflict in this world. There is the public strife of nations, there is the strife we have with one another, and there is the strife within the individual soul when anxiety and fear rise up. The last is often the most troubling, for what advantage is it if the building is quiet, yet the heart within is at war with itself. Your greatest need, and God's greatest provision, is peace within, a peace that remains even when outward circumstances are still unknown.

That is why the Lord calls us not only to desire peace from others, but to be peacemakers ourselves. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. God is not a God of war and fighting, and He delights when His people are at peace with all men and remember no evil. The more we choose to be peaceful, even when we feel vulnerable or uncertain about another, the nearer we draw to Him.

So let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we come to You. We thank You that You are present with Your child always and that Your presence brings comfort in every anxious thought. We ask You to quiet the heart that is troubled, to grant inner stillness and confidence that no outward noise or uncertainty can take away. Grant to this home and to the whole apartment complex a quiet and peaceable life. We pray for the new tenant next door, that You would grant him also a desire for peace and respect for those around him, and that both neighbors may live in harmony and goodwill. Help Your child to be a peacemaker, ready to show kindness and to entrust all outcomes to Your care. Let Your peace, which passes all understanding, guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Continue to cast your anxiety upon Him, for He cares for you. Rest in the assurance that whether the hallway is silent or not, the Lord Himself keeps watch over you and will not leave you.
