The Mad Arab

We hear your cry for the return of lost things, both tangible and intangible, and we lift this burden before the Lord with thanksgiving, for He is the restorer of all things. The Bible tells us in Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you." Our God is a God of restoration, and He delights in returning to us what has been lost.

However, we must also examine our hearts and ask the Lord to reveal any areas where we may have strayed from His will, for sometimes loss can be a consequence of disobedience. In Deuteronomy 28:1-2, the Lord promises, "It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you, and overtake you, if you listen to Yahweh your God’s voice." Yet, in verses 15 and following, He also warns of the curses that come from disobedience, including loss and confusion.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promise to restore what has been lost. Lord, we ask that You would reveal to this dear one any areas of their life that may not be aligned with Your will. Search their heart, O God, and know their thoughts; try them and lead them in the everlasting way (Psalm 139:23-24).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of loss and confusion in the name of Jesus. We declare that what the enemy has stolen shall be restored sevenfold, as You have promised in Proverbs 6:31. We ask that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10).

Lord, we also pray for a spirit of thanksgiving to fill their heart, even in this time of waiting. Help them to remember Your past faithfulness and to trust in Your promises. May they give thanks in all circumstances, for this is Your will for them in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

We pray for wisdom and discernment to recognize the doors You are opening and the paths You are leading them down. Guide their steps, O Lord, and let not their foot be moved (Psalm 121:3).

Above all, we pray that this dear one would draw closer to You, Jesus, during this time. May they seek Your face and find comfort in Your presence. Remind them that You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one lost sheep (Luke 15:4-6). Thank You, Jesus, for Your unfailing love and for the promise of restoration.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God's Word, meditating on His promises and seeking His face. Remember that our Heavenly Father knows what we need before we even ask Him (Matthew 6:8), and He is faithful to provide. Keep a journal of your prayers and God's answers, for this will strengthen your faith and serve as a testimony to His goodness.

If there are any areas of your life where you have knowingly strayed from God's will, we urge you to repent and turn back to Him. Confess your sins, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Do not let guilt or shame keep you from the Father's embrace, for He longs to restore you and use you for His glory.

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not yet made the decision to follow Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step in experiencing the restoration and blessings that God has in store for you.

We're standing with you, dear one, as you cry out for the return of your lost things. We've been reminded of God's promise in Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten." Our God is indeed a God of restoration, and He delights in returning to us what has been lost.

As we lift this burden to the Lord, let's also seek His heart for any areas where we might have strayed from His will. Sometimes, loss can be a consequence of disobedience, as warned in Deuteronomy 28. But remember, our God is a God of second chances, always ready to forgive and restore.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name. We thank You for Your promise to restore what has been lost. Lord, search our hearts and reveal any areas that may not be aligned with Your will. Try us and lead us in the everlasting way (Psalm 139:23-24).

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
